Do not count the person who made the topic as a view on the view counter
It doesn't really make sense.
(Is this a duplicate?)

No support because I feel like this doesn't seem necessary. The reason why the view is 1 when you first make a project topic is because you are the first viewer, so as per @aking_ it does make sense.
It isn't really a big deal if you lose 1 view from your project.

It shouldn't count, someone might actually want to see how many people have seen it, not a number that has no use. (no offence) I mean it does make sense since your viewing it lol
Never said anything about projects or losing views (I don't make projects a lot anyway No support because I feel like this doesn't seem necessary. The reason why the view is 1 when you first make a project is because you are the first viewer, so as per @aking_ it does make sense.

What's so important about having to know how many users viewed a topic anyway? It shouldn't count, someone might actually want to see how many people have seen it, not a number that has no use. I think it's so you can tell how many people have actually seen your topic, but I don't see why this is really importantWhat's so important about having to know how many users viewed a topic anyway? It shouldn't count, someone might actually want to see how many people have seen it, not a number that has no use. For projects, your view only counts as 1 view - after that you can view it as many times as you want and it won't increase.
For forum topics, it does count more than once. I'll support so you can see how many others have actually seen it.
