The Difference Between Scratch Online & Offline
There is a difference on scratch online & offline! Online you can communicate with the community like what I am doing right now in this message! On scratch offline you can only make projects and upload or download them to usb's. Over here you can still do that but you can also do way more! You can see everyone's shared projects. You can share your own projects to the community with a very tiny chance that you'll get any viewers but it's still worth a try! You can also use discuss and chat about things with specific topics! A difference that some scratchers use which is including me is when you've used scratch a lot you'll be able to become a scratcher and make cloud variables! Cloud variables are mainly used for global high score. If you don't understand what I mean about cloud variables it's that whenever a scratcher is running a program, they can edit a cloud variable and the other scratcher's computer will receive the information! Now you might be thinking these are used a lot in our programs! But they actually aren't! The problem is that a cloud variable only handles numbers so we have to encode and decode and a long program if we want to make a chatting server or global high scores including names! New Scratchers are accounts ranked that they were just made but once you use your scratch account for long you can be a scratcher like me!

Thanks for the guide! But we already have many existing guides in this forum, so we encourage Scratchers to use those instead.

Its great that you want to help out, but trying to provide a bunch of mini-tutorials isn't that efficient (and it isn't the purpose of the New Scratchers forum). Maybe you could direct users to the Scratch Wiki for tutorials - or existing tutorial studios.
