I'm taking a liking to arranging the atoms inside my computer into configurations that will successfully run my programs.

Edit: The IDE I use for that is Atom lol

No. If you need to purchase more RAM so you can use your text editor of choice, you shouldn't be using that text editor
I agree. In addition, if you need to look at a cheatsheet filled with arcane keyboard shortcuts to use your editor; then you shouldn't be using that editor.
…why not? Certainly if you're not going to bother to learn an editor you shouldn't use that editor, but editors that are hard to use for a novice are oftentimes the most efficient tools. (Case in point: Blender.)

I only use text editors that run based on the unreal 4 engine. If my text editor can't do advanced 3d rotations with 4k graphics, then I simply cannot code
I actually code in a 5-dimensional environment running off of unity 17 and directx 33.

I'd much more prefer manually dictating my code to alexa.
I use alexa simon says to talk to google home, which then emails my code to a git repo

Well I hard code all of my programs by creating my own computer for every program I want to make… much simpler

What are the specs? I prefer each of my computers to be this https://pcpartpicker.com/list/3Zzw9W anything less is just unusable. Like Slack barely runs on this!

Haha, all you guys' rigs are so underpowered it's silly. This is the real bare minimum:
  • Intel Core i9 7960X 16-core CPU @ 4.1GHz × 4 ($6,799.96)
  • Silent Loop 280 liquid CPU cooler × 4 ($656.00)
  • Crucial 16GB DDR4 RAM × 12 ($2,159.88)
  • PNY Quadro P6000 video card w/ 24GB GDDR5X × 3 ($14,424.00)
  • AMD FirePro W9100 video card w/ 32GB GDDR5X × 3 ($7,799.97)
  • Intel SSDPECME040T401 4TB SSD × 5 ($44,339.95)
  • BW-14D1XT Blu-Ray/DVD/CD Writer × 3 ($359.94)
  • Creative Labs ZXR sound card × 1 ($233.68)
  • Asus PCE-AC88 wireless network card × 1 ($108.76)
  • Intel X540-BT2 10Gbps wired network card × 1 ($463.95)
  • Asus USB 3.1 Type-A card (dual) × 2 ($78.00)
  • amfeltec Flexible x1 PCI Express 3-Way Splitter × 3 ($800.13)
  • amfeltec GPU-oriented x1 PCIe 3-Way Splitter × 2 ($471.16)
  • EVGA SuperNOVA 1200W power supply × 42 ($11,363.52)
Total: $90,798.30 (USD) not including case, peripherals, mobo, shipping, or extreme power bills
Now you can open Atom and type at least 4 words, all while enjoying a 4K-resolution G-Sync full-surround-sound triple-31"-monitor DirectX 12 experience!
