What Video Games Do You Play and Why? Don't turn this into a topic debating between games (better graphics, etc.). Just discuss what you like and why.
What to do:
I play Skyrim because… (list reasons why)
What not to do:
Skyrim is the best game ever and every other game ever made is terrible because it is not Skyrim!

You play GTA? That is the worst game ever! How could you even consider playing it?

The Project Zero series because I like ghosts! And ritual sacrifice! And creepy stuff in general! And Japanese culture!
The Animal Crossing series because I like life sims! And talking animals!
The Sims series because I like life sims (again)! And Similish!
Haunting Ground because I like white German Shepherds! And psycho maids! And jiggly, defenseless young women being pursued by aforementioned psycho maids!
Minecraft because I like building stuff! And raiding villages! AND KILLING THEIR INHABITANTS!! AND BURNING SAID VILLAGES TO THE GROUND!

I play Halo: Reach for competitive multiplayer and fun minigames.

I play Legend of Zelda so I can smash everyone's pots and steal all their money.

Well, I play:


Team Fortress 2, because of multiplayer battles and the variety of weapons;

Garry's Mod, because I use it to make animations on Scratch;

Far Cry 3, for the great story missions and the big map that you can explore.

They seem legit…

I play Tales of Symphonia for the great characters, fun battle system and multiplayer.

I play Bastion for the amazing story, great narration, beautiful art style and music, and for the addictive combat.

I play Battleblock Theater for the hilarious story, fun but challenging gameplay, and the awesome music.

I play Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker for the amazing adventure and atmosphere.

I play Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door for the great combat, characters and humor.

That should sum up everything.

I play the games from The Elder Scrolls series, and that also includes the old ones from the 90's. (although my two favorite ones are Morrowind and Skyrim) I like them because every game in the series you can create your own character and they all take place in an open world. Basically you can be whoever you want and can go anywhere and do anything. The music and scenery are beautiful. The lore and history in the games is some of the most in depth I've ever seen (as in you could seriously read about it for hours). There are some things I don't like, though: there are a lot of characters and most of them are uninteresting, and the plotlines of the games are a bit on the cliche side.

Kingdom Hearts I (fun, despite the fact that i've gotten myself completely lost)
Kingdom Hearts II (epic)
Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days (also epic, but i have not played it for a while because my r button is broken )
Civilization V (the new hex system is cool, but it's kind of slow)
BTD5/BTD5D (very fun, and everything's better with monkeys)
Lego Batman II (i finally have a few extras)
Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga (some of the new extras are really useful)

I play NBA 2k12 on the Xbox360 because I like basketball. It has great graphics and the announcers are amazing. They seem like they really know what is going on. Also it has a game mode called MyPlayer where you can do so many things. You start off by playing in the Rookie Showcase and if you do well you can get a good salary. After that you get drafted. /I have gotten picked as low as the 6th pick by the Washington Wizards! I believe it is impossible to be drafted number 1, or for that matter even in the top 5. I know that in NBA 2k13 you can get picked number one but in 2k12 I am almost 100% sure it is impossible. After the 2011 NBA draft so many things can happen! From getting traded to winning an NBA title! Currently, I am on the Miami Heat after being traded with Javale Magee for Chris Bosh and Mario Chalmers. In my rookie year I won the rookie of the year award, won the 2011-2012 MVP award, the NBA Finals MVP award, and I won an NBA title. That is why I play NBA 2k12.

I play… Uh…. LEGO games with my brother to explain references and stuff he wouldn't understand. He's younger than me.
And same with Skylanders, though now I stopped cause it was boring and cheesy.
I'm not much of a gamer, but I used to play Spore and I definitely play Minecraft.

Sims, because I like creating scenarios for my Sims.
Skyrim, it's fun driving a sword through someones chest.
Fallout, Explosives go boom.
Minecraft, it's fun building things.

Also I play Minecraft on the Xbox360 and the computer. I rarely play the Pocket Edition. I play it because I like how you can build anything you want. I also like that in survival you have to build a shelter to live to protect you from the incoming zombie, skeleton, creeper, spider, etc. hoards. But also it is really cool that you can play on peaceful if you don't want these mobs to come after you. Sand and gravel are sometimes annoying but it is still really cool that they are affected by gravity. Going to the Nether and the End to battle deadly hostile mobs is fun. But going to a land of mushrooms and enjoying infinite food (if you have a bowl) is also fun. So in the end, I play Minecraft because it is cool.

I play Sonic 3 on emulator because it is a fun game and all the levels have cool things.
I play Minecraft because I can ride a pig off a cliff.
I play Scribblenauts because you can make anything and after this post I am going to play it.
I play Mario because it has lots of worlds to choose from with cool powerups and levels
I play Paper Mario Sticker Star because the paperize feature rules and the levels are fun.
I play Pokemon because you can catch Pokemon, train them, and even trade them with people around the world using the GTS.

I play Starcraft II because a lot of my friends do.
I play Realm of the Mad God because its really really addicting.
I play various Pokemon games, usually the older ones, because they're fun and are somewhat more interesting to play than the recent versions.
I play Minecraft not so much anymore but I still go on multiplayer every once in a while.
I played COD at one point but it was usually at my friends' houses.

Other than that I don't play a lot of video games, really.

I've played lots of games, but at the moment I only play a few actively:

Fallout: New Vegas - Exploration, survival, humor, and post-apocalyptic marauding. What's not to like?
War Thunder - WWII-era online air combat, ranging from arcade-style free-for-alls to a (somewhat) realistic simulator mode
