A lot of us know these. I was thinking something like this should be added to scratch.
Online: Green dot.
Do not disturb: Orange dot. Disables comments for ALL your projects when active.
Away/offline: Red dot.
Online and away/offline are automatic unless set to “do not disturb” or “away”

forever
if <[(online status)] = (do not disturb)> then
Do not allow comments.//category=control
end
end

Semi-support. I only support the indicator as to whether the person is online (and is automatic), but do not support the ability to switch to other indicators like ‘away’ or ‘do not disturb’ and even prevent users from commenting.
It should only allow other users to see if the user is online, and nothing else.

Would support if it's only showing if the user is online or offline, but not if there's an indicator and use for “away” and “do not disturb”, as jontmy00 said.

Same here. I think we're all pretty much in agreement. It would be nice to know if someone's online, but should be no “away”, “do not disturb” , etc. In my opinion, it shouldn't even say if someone's offline, only if someone is online.
P.S. I highly doubt people are going to get irritated by notifications.

I don't understand why the ST haven't seen this yet…
Bump
Not exactly like Facebook, but still it's helpful to know when people are online.
But I don't think a “Do not disturb” is necessary.
Just a green and red dot
It's so simple, yet it would have such a huge effect of Scratch
(Okay, maybe not that simple, but it could be done
)

Scratch is not a social network.It sort of is though.
No support.

Support the online indicator as it would let people know whether you would be able to reply to comments.
No support for the ‘do not disturb’ button because I can't see any reason for disabling comments - you don't have to respond to them immediately and anyway you can comment someone when they are offline.
On a somewhat related note, I would like something similar to the online indicator on projects to show if the creator is currently editing them.

No support, it's not a Social Network. But what WOULD be interesting would be a button on your profile that signifies online/offline…

I support the idea, but with a small change.
Online = green dot of course. You can change this to “temporarily away”, a yellow dot, if you're using the restroom or taking a nap, but your tab is still open.
Offline = red dot.
