"Tag a quality scratcher!" Possible Spam Comments?
So I've been seeing a lot of these comments recently….

They all (pretty much) follow the same format, and are “spammed” from profile to profile like some a popular Facebook post. These comments are meant to spread happiness in the Scratch community(which has true when it started) but now seems more like spam than anything. Here's why I don't like them:
Here's what Paddle2See(Member of the Scratch Moderation Team) says:
This is defiantly chain-mail, which is spam; even the Scratch Team don't approve.

- Scratchers who don't have these “quality scratcher” comments may feel jealous or discouraged when they see them on other posts
- They spread spam
- None of the comments seem very personalised
- It makes the Scratcher feel obliged to spread the comment to keep their “Quality Scratcher” status.
Here's what Paddle2See(Member of the Scratch Moderation Team) says:
I think that, while it is a kind idea, they are pretty much just another form of “chain-letter” spam. Please don't spread them to other Scratchers.Paddle2See's comment response here.

They are spam. People don't need to copy and paste this message to tell someone they are a good Scratcher.

I got this message, and it made me feel good. Just as I was thinking about leaving Scratch, it motivated me. It made me realise I am good. I passed it on to spread the joy that I got.

That's cool but It's still spam. It's just chain mail and isn't usually personalised. I got this message, and it made me feel good. Just as I was thinking about leaving Scratch, it motivated me. It made me realise I am good. I passed it on to spread the joy that I got.

That's nice, but it was still a comment that someone copy-&-pasted and gave a bunch of people without actually meaning anything. It's still spam. I got this message, and it made me feel good. Just as I was thinking about leaving Scratch, it motivated me. It made me realise I am good. I passed it on to spread the joy that I got.

Really, I don't take this kind of spam to heart. Honestly, it's only something for more attention. It would be good to just delete the comment (Or before you do, reply with something like a thanks, then delete it)

It's very kind, although spam. To show that someone is a quality scratcher, just love and favorite their good projects and tell them that those are good projects in your own way for example:
It would be best to ask the Scratcher to not do that because it is spam (in a kind way of course) and then report the comment.
Great Game! It is very enjoyable but still needs improvements like music! 9/10~YubNubEwokSee, that is constructive AND personalized.

Probably shouldn't encourage you to link the commenter to this post. That's considering naming and shaming.
Anyway, these are spam, and as far as I know Paddle2See is adding this message to the blacklist, he's already started added stuff like “Give ♥ This♥ To ♥ The ♥ Twelve ♥ Nicest ♥ People ♥ You ♥ Know ♥ If ♥ You ♥ Get ♥ Five ♥ Back ♥ You ♥ Must ♥ Be ♥ Perfect!!” to the blacklist.

it's considered spam. but i feel as if you really wanna send it, then you can remove the “send this to 10 other scratch friends who deserve it. if you break the chain, etc” so it's just a nice message.

So what if it is spam? Things like this pop up all the time. Where there's comments, there's spam. Sorry, but that's the way of comments. There's always someone out there…
