ah i think i'm gonna go watch ragnarok today/tomorrow so that's gonna be neat !!I went to see it purely based on Taika Waititi directing it. I can't compare it to the other Thor movies having never seen them, but Ragnarok was a lot of fun.

Movies You Are Hyped For
Isle of Dogs is definitely my most hyped currently. Wes Anderson is one of my favorite directors and I've seen almost all of his films at least twice, with Fantastic Mr. Fox being my favorite of his (and it could be my favorite movie ever, not sure though). If he made a film that was 2 hours of paint drying I'd probably be there opening night, but the fact that it's essentially a spiritual successor to Fantastic Mr. Fox makes me ridiculously excited. It's pretty much guaranteed I'm seeing it at least twice while it's still in theatres. The trailer is incredible and my giddiness about it makes me feel like a child again.
Other films I'm looking forward to:
Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (From director of In Bruges, one of the most praised of the year, Flannery O'Connor influenced, great cast, YMS gave it a 10)
The Killing of A Sacred Deer (Seeing this in two weeks, same director as The Lobster, bound to be interesting and disturbing)
The Florida Project (been very highly praised, subject matter appeals to me a lot)
Phantom Thread (Paul Thomas Anderson is one of my favorite directors and all of the films I've seen from it are in my favorites list, trailer doesn't grab me that much but I'm still looking forward to it based purely on the fact that it's a PTA film)
The Disaster Artist (love the book and movie seems just as good, once again subject matter appeals to me a lot here)
The Shape of Water (looks like a pleasant and imaginative movie, Gullimero Del Toro is awesome)
Loving Vincent (reviews have said that the actual story/dialogue is pretty mediocre, but I'm seeing it purely for that animation, every frame is literally a painting)
Lady Bird (I love coming of age stories but good ones are so rare, this has been very highly praised so I'm looking forward to it)
Call Me By Your Name (I've already seen this at a film festival but I'm looking forward to the international release so I can see it again)
The Incredibles 2 (Pixar have fallen in quality in recent years, but they better gain it back for this one)
Other films I'm looking forward to:
