Discussion of the Advance Wars series!

Advance Wars is a tactical strategy game (is that redundancy?) where you deploy units to attack the enemy. There are different types of units, ranging from infantry and tanks to helicopters and battleships.

You can talk about more or less anything here: the Japanese only Famicom Wars series, the normal four games released in the US etc.

I'm stuck on the last mission of AW2 (normal mode), but apparently you can just send up a few bombers and one-shot the laser cannon? I haven't tried it yet but I definitely will.

I don't think Fire Emblem is my kind of game, anyway. I don't think my family would like Advance Wars either…

I don't know of any good free tactics games. Are you saying your family wouldn't like AW because of the war setting? That makes sense, I mean the series is kind of meant to be a parody of WW2 in a way.
