Mine are tragedy, romance, and action/adventure with a little pinch of comedy.

Current Sonic fan fiction in writing:

The Missing Chao
An adventure comedy fan fic.

When all Chao on the world go missing on one night, Sonic and co split up into two teams and seek the world for where the Chao could be. Hilarity and excitement ensues on the way, even with 2 special beings guiding each team.

Blood of Beauty
A historical fantasy, paranormal romance, and transplanted character fan fic.

In 1880s America, vampires live in small hidden communities and live on blood, mainly mortals'. One vampire, Shadow the Hedgehog, falls in love with a mortal, Blaze the Cat. Shadow must get to know her and steal her heart, as well as manage normal life in his vampire village and try not to bring up Blaze's name.

Ah, I like both of your fanfictions! I've read some of each of them, actually.

I'm also currently working on my first fanfic, about one of my main Sonic OCs (Not the main one, which is Ophelia the Opossum, but this fanfic is about the opossum's BFF), Katie the Koala. It's going to be one told in short story parts on here, and it'll probably be about 4 to 6 parts long. It's not really going to be very adventurous, like some of my other fanfics that are coming up, (Like one of my “Warriors” fanfics, about my main Warrior Cats OC, Fernfeather. This one is almost ready to be written, and the art for it drawn, actually, so, to anyone who's interested in reading my fics, make sure to look out for them!) about the main stories in my series that I'm planning, but it should (hopefully) be good.

I'm fine with depressing tragedy fanfic (although they can keep me in the slumps for a few minutes or even hours, for the good ones) since if they're depressing, they've completed their tragic goal. The cliche part isn't fine though.

Yeah, it is pretty hard to find a GOOD tragedy fanfiction. (Especially involving the above-mentioned cliches, although, I admit, I am guilty of writing a fanfiction or two in which one of the pair dies) I suppose if the “cliche” is handled decently in the writing, and it doesn't feel like a shoehorned attempt to make an otherwise non-tragic fanfiction “tragic”, I can still enjoy the fanfiction. To be honest, reading depressing fanfiction really doesn't make me feel any different most of the time…. I may get a little “in the moment” and shed a tear or two, but it doesn't really make me depressed…. 'X3

Yeah, I agree with pretty much all of that. Sometimes, a sad fanfiction is just a nice thing to read.
