I would be kind if telling someone that I couldn't curate their projects, and wouldn't boast at all to others if a project made it. I would try my best and strive to be a fun curator who shows great projects and has a great time!

i have been around scratch for a while and i think i know what kind of projects i would show if i ever became a curator.

projects that are creative, nice and show skills

projects that have good game play, graphics, and not very meany glitches

and overall, projects that are cool

Ahem. Hello Scratch Team, managers of majestic Scratch. I joined about 4.5 months ago, and I've decided now to apply for the curator position. I think it will be enjoyable to search for quality projects and make them known. Now that I've been on Scratch for a while, I can tell the difference between projects slapped together versus projects showing a good use of Scratch. If I become curator, I will find:

-projects that aren't just on one topic (this should be easy for me because I do not make just one style of project)
example: all animations, all platformers, etc.
-projects by all different Scratchers, not just the big famous ones
-projects that are well done
aren't with bad graphics, glitches, etc.
-projects that haven't already been curated, featured, or are already well known
like having 2000 loves/ favorites+

The way I will search for projects will be to browse through the “Explore” tab under the tags to find a variety. If the project is worthy of being curated, I will favorite it.

Thanks, and remember to love and favorite Scratch! (even if that's not possible)

The projects curated would have to apply to these:

Under 300 views

Under 50 Loves

Under 50 Favorites

Creative/Educational Facts

Fun Animations, Games, stories, ect.

The also would have to be underviewed for the effort put in, if I scored it 9/10, the most views to be considered would be higher for 8/10. Thanks! :) And Scratch on! And congrats for being picked for current, future, and past curators.

I do Scratch as a hobby. Axolotls and Bill 5ever. I know they are connected but it is just a coincidence I love both of them!

Hello scratch team I would really enjoy it if I was curator. I would put projects that are not very popular in the curators tab.
I would put games or puzzles. I would not add my own projects. I really think scratchers would be very happy if they had their projects on the front page of scratch!

Hello, I am penguin03742, and I would like to apply for the position of curator. The reason I want to be curator is because one time one of my projects got curated and it made me happy to see all the love-its and favorites and other forms of appreciation by the scratch community. I want people who aren't known as well who put a lot of time and work into their projects to be noticed and appreciated by other scratchers. I see a lot of good projects that have not been popular and I want to able to do more than just a love-it for these amazing projects. I am a regular on scratch for about a year now and ever since I got curated, I have wanted to be a curator.
I would curate:

projects that inspire people all around the scratch community
unique projects
platformers(but only unique ones)
smooth and fun animations
puzzles
projects with good art
smooth OSes
projects for all ages
and puzzle games!

I would not curate

remixes that do not change enough or dont give credit
projects that are hurtful
projects that dont follow the community guidlines

I plan on curating 1 project every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and two on weekends Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Thank you for your time.

I have been on scratch for almost seven month's now. After seeing this thread and hearing about the job of a curator, I decided that I would like to try out. When I started out scratch I somehow stumbled across some projects which I thought were amazing, and now that I'm looking back I realize that they show great skill and hard work and they deserve far more attention than they are receiving now. I had previously tried out for the job but that was a while ago and I feel I have done much more on scratch than I had before. I have introduced six of my friends to scratch and five of those six adopted it and got an account. I have also suggested ideas about how to update scratch's tutorials. I have programmed now in other computer languages, such as RobotC and some Java, and I realize that although some projects may not have “amazing” graphics, there programming is beyond advanced. I would curate projects that have less than 20 favorites and 20 loves, and since I know of so many great projects I would curate 2-3 projects every day to give maximum attention to as many projects as I think deserve it. Projects would help scratchers with common problems, show cultural pride, are educational, involve cool animations or humor. I will NOT curate projects that are inappropriate in anyway, or projects that make fun of a race or culture. Here are some examples of what I will curate:
This project if it had less loves and favorites or perhaps even with all its attention
This project because it involves advanced math
This project
And especially this one

I would like to be a curator. I enjoy scratch and have recently joined. I can tell good projects from bad projects and work with other scratchers. Here are some reasons why I should be the next curator:

I work hard for my views and only consider great games with less than 20 views.
I would be fair and give everybody a chance.
I have experienced the effects of having my project curated, and I know how much that effects you're scratch life.

I please hope you will select me, and I will attempt to show everybody how supporting the community is.

Can i please be curator? I agree to all rules, I've been on scratch for 3 months already, And i'm willing to be one, I agree to make sure it has the following
• Appropiate for all ages, Including 4 and 5 years of age
• Has lower than 10 views
• Lower than 5 love-its or favorites
• Make sure the user has lower than 20 followers
• Make sure it hasn't been curated since 3 months.
• Lots of cool stuff that i would choose.
• Not my own projects.

I work very hard on being Scratch Curator, And i hope you accept this request. Thanks a lot!

Hello Scratch people! I would love to be a curator. I know I've only been on for about a month, but I've had 1.4 downloaded for at least 3 years now. There are a lot of projects out there that have great scripting, and great ideas. (not me) Clearly the scratcher who made them put a lot of hard work into them. Yet these great projects get overlooked because of their graphics. Sometimes I will be playing a game and I'll be like, “hey, this game is great!” and I'll look down and see that almost no one has liked or favorited or even bothered to comment on it. And stranger still, I'll be on a project that does almost nothing and see people being like “OMG XD XD XD SO AWESOME!” just because of the graphics. The graphics are great on these projects, but I feel that graphics aren't everything. It seems unfair. I want people to see the coding counts.

Hello! I'm Phyno. I'm not really new. I've been on for about two years. Anyway, I think it'd really be awesome to be curator. I help out with the Scratch community a lot! I am nice and I welcome new scratchers. I also have not been banned (except for the glitch.) I've never even posted a spam comment.
There are ton of games and animations I like! I'm also not picky, though I have requirements like: less then 350 views though less is better in this case, 30 love-its and favorites and less is better! Also, I wouldn't curate my friends because they would have an unfair advantage. Gore is not going to be curated. also video game remakes wouldn't be curated. educational projects have better chances! Violence, language, hate, and copies will not be curated. Games that target both boys and girls are more likely. Professional games are likely to be curated. Animations are also cool! long ones are better! Same rules apply for animations

I have been a member of scratch for 1 year and 8 months now I have seen scratch grow and change unfortunately with all of this growing I don't see people always get credit for what they deserve.
