Why did you assume that? Obviously it will only run after forever passes

Which will only happen when the stop sign is clicked or the Earth gets swallowed by the sun in trillions of years.

No no no… you've all got it wrong… “After Forever” will only run when the universe itself dies in trillions of years (AKA Forever)

Nonono you're all wrong, it only runs after September 25, 2015 which was the release date for an American indie drama film called Forever, which was directed by Tatia Pilieva and has 5.2/10 stars on IMDb

Scratch 3.0

Just tried it and I have 3 things to say.

1. Glitches and other errors. When you create a new costume for a sprite there is no way to edit it. The editing window is simply not there. There is clearly a space for it but it doesn't exist. I refuse to use premade, uneditable costumes. Also, in the “some blocks” folder (terrible name btw), not only is there a duplicate of letter _ of _, it doesn't even work. Letter 1 of text is not “e.” In addition, the “more blocks” tab seems to be gone now. Why?

2. Conceptual feedback. The pick 1 block makes no sense whatsoever. Does it mean pick the first one or randomly pick any one of them? Also, will it be expandable so you can use more than four? Speaking of which, as far as I can tell, every block in the some blocks tab aside from that one is totally useless. Why is the “some blocks” folder an extension rather than just in by default? I also tried adding it twice and now I have no idea how to remove the duplicate. Also, why did you flip the editing area? I liked it the way it was.

3. Suggestions. I think it would be really cool if there was a separate “definitions” tab. That way you can put all your “more blocks” definitions in there without cluttering up the sprite they're used on. We should also have a (string1) contains (string2)? block, a skip block and a spawn block (to skip through part of the script and start working again at the spawn block), a slow-motion mode where you press a button to go to the next step (excellent for debugging), and text global variables.

EDIT: just went back into scratch 3 and I realized you also seem to have removed lists. I assume this will be added as Scratch 3 is worked on.

EDIT 2: Please also add more control keys. I want to use shift, control, all of those things.

It's still being made, so not everything has been fully implemented yet, such as custom blocks. They're still working on the costume editor

The some blocks extension is an example extension showing off what extensions can do so far; its letter _ of _ block is 0-indexed because I'm assuming they directly used JavaScript for that block without subtracting one from the index

The way it was is the way it is in Scratch 3.0; the stage was on the right in 1.4.

There once was a _ contains _? block in the WIP version, but they removed it. The other suggestions belong here, though some already have their own topics:

Don't confuse “remove” and “hasn't implemented yet”; it's like your teacher marking a homework assignment late before it's due

Adding the control keys would make making Scratch touch-friendly more difficult; also not all keyboards have certain keys/they are named differently; Scratch projects can trick users into pressing keyboard shortcuts like command+Q or ctrl+shift+Q; that's a thing already; duplicate

Also supposedly projects that use the pen extension will automatically load the extension (src)

Aaaaand what about the over 9000 projects that are 90% pen-powered..?

Iirc they did some testing and found that this order is more intuitive for new users because in English you read left to right so blocks->scripts->stage makes sense (I don't know if they're planning on flipping the editor for rtl languages)

Extensions are (theoretically) gonna have pretty deep vm access so someone could probably do that yea

That's awesome! Scratch 2.0 extensions have always been pretty limited in what they can do (can't really interact with project itself at all), which made them pretty mediocre.

Thrilled to hear that 3.0 extensions will be more powerful. Can't wait!

On the topic of Scratch extensions…
Now that pen is an extension…
I CAN MAKE PEN MULTIPLE TIMES!!!!!!!!!!!!

But seriously this should be fixed

EDIT: More proof.
