my freind has scratch and we made an account for both of us to use so i think scratch should let you link accounts!

But no, you can't have multiple Scratch users on one account. It's because “The website and project editor can easily get confused when more than one person is logged into the same account” according to the Scratch FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions).

It's technically possible, just discouraged.
If you want to share an account with someone you know and trust, such as a best friend or relative, you may.
But since it's discouraged, I don't think they'll make a separate account function for that.

Yep, I tried live editing with the current infrastructure and a friend and the editor quickly became confused. It recovered after a page reload, but it still got wonky. For now maybe your best bet is to take turns making remixes of the project? That way you add a feature or costume or sound, then your friend adds their own feature or costume or sound, and then you get another turn, and so on. Or you and your friends could share projects that only contain the one costume or sound, so you can drag that into your backpack and then from your backpack into a main project that includes all the code.
