Scratch programming VS other software and game engines such as Unreal Engine 4 or Unity?

Hey there. So I know Unreal Engine 4 and Unity are professional game engines that a lot of well known games are created from. I was just wondering, is there any unique concept of Scratch programming that those game engines don't have? I know Scratch definitely has a more simple approach to coding but I'm just wondering if its still worth it for me to continue programming my projects on Scratch or move up to something bigger like Unreal Engine 4 (considering Unreal Engine 4 is now free). I'm also wondering, will programming projects on Scratch help me in my future career? Often there are times when I'm programming on here and I just feel like its useless and a waste of time.

Scratch is usually a stepping stone in programming. If you were to continue with your programming, you'd be open to more resources and have the ability to create more complicated things. Scratch is mostly just for the programming logic part, but doesn't have all the features of other programming resources. I'd say that if you feel as though you don't need to use Scratch anymore, then you can move on to more complicated programming languages.

Scratch is really good at teaching you the concept of programming, and logical thinking skills. When you learn a new language, or learn how to use a new engine, you're only really learning a new syntax or layout; it's the same thinking skills as Scratch. Making projects in Scratch is an easy way to develop your logical thinking, which is beneficial in any area of programming.
