Ha, emulators. I got the real deal gameboy cartridges from the 90s. My oldest is yellow, and I got Silver, Gold, Firered, Leaf Green, Ruby, and Emerald.

Wow i never thought anybody would still haave pokemon yellow i was addicted to it.

I think the best feeling I ever felt when catching a legendary was when I caught Groudon in a Heavy Ball (which I realized later was pretty much guaranteed to work), or when I caught Lugia on my first playthrough of SoulSilver with my cousins.

You're so lucky. I tried to get a shiny Zorua, and it did not work out at all.

Have you tried using the masuda method with the shiny charm? It helps a lot.

Get EVERY pokemon in the national pokedex that's not event exclusive.

Have any of you ever transferred all the way up from gen 3 to now?

I have transferred all the way indirectly, I guess.
I tried to get all the Kanto starters from LeafGreen to SoulSilver, then I transferred most of my Pokémon from SoulSilver to Black, then I transferred from Black to X.
I kinda wish they could just have Pokémon Bank connect to Diamond/Pearl/SoulSilver/HeartGold so we could just cut BW/BW2 out of the process…
