The Thing is my favorite and I'd also call it the best.
My other favorites are Alien, Evil Dead II and 28 Days Later. I've yet to see some of the classics like The Exorcist, The Shining and Rosemary's Baby.

The Thing is my favorite and I'd also call it the best.Thats so cool!!! I dont really meet people who like older movies like Evil Dead II and others like that. And which Thing are we talking about? Original or remake? And u should watch The Shining, and The Exorcist. In my opinion, those r really good.

Rosemary's Baby's ending is weak, tho

My favorite horror movie is “I'm too much of a coward to watch horror movies”

We recently studied horror movies in class and I've been on a bit of a horror kick. Here's the ones that I've seen in the past few months
The Fly (Jeff Goldblum version)
Jaws
The Blair Witch Project
IT (2017 version)
Videodrome
Halloween
The Exorcist
The Shining
Psycho
An American Werewolf In London
Will write something about all of these eventually.
Recently made a watchlist for horror. I'd appreciate any recommendations.

Jaws, but that one is in a bit of a blurry line between thriller and horror. If that doesn't count, I'd go for The Fly.bumping

The Exorcist - Full of genuinely scary stuff; holds up exceptionally well.
Perfect Blue - An absolutely solid psychological horror that I'll probably still be thinking about/looking for answers to for years to come. Satoshi Kon was a brilliant man.
Scream - Manages to parody horror and be a solid horror film on its own.
The Visit - I'm not always a big M. Night Shyamalan fan, but this was much better than I expected it to be, considering it had Shyamalan and a PG-13 rating seemingly working against it. Slow build-up that prepares you for a crazy last act. Too bad Split wasn't that good, or I'd say Shyamalan might be getting his groove back.

What Are Your Favorite Horror Movies
I finally watched Rosemary's Baby and I thought that it was brilliant. Definitely a timeless film, there are no bad special effects or cheesy performances to take you out of it. While there are some things that are exclusive to the 60s, they aren't too obvious. I thought the cinematography was very good, as it managed to make the most out of its one location through the great tracking shots and close-ups, giving it something of a claustrophobic feeling that makes it all the more scary. The slow pace works very well, building up to a great payoff. I appreciate how ambiguous things were for a while, making you doubt Rosemary's sanity, until the big reveal. Definitely don't watch it if you want a “scare a minute” movie, but it's definitely a good one if you love psychological horror.
also hey i've now watched the three major horror movies on my watchlist, woah
I thought it was a great ending, but I can see why it can be a little disappointing now, as the plot twist is the most famous thing about the movie and it's pretty much common knowledge. The Thing is my favorite and I'd also call it the best.Thats so cool!!! I dont really meet people who like older movies like Evil Dead II and others like that. And which Thing are we talking about? Original or remake? And u should watch The Shining, and The Exorcist. What Are Your Favorite Horror Movies
watched the texas chainsaw massacre
not the cheesy fun horror movie i was expecting, it was genuinely horrifying and painful to watch
probably the scariest movie i've ever seen, there's just something about the hopelessness, the low budget, the fact that the situation is completely plausible and could happen to anyone and the lack of reason or motivation for the murders, it was genuinely nihilistic
i don't think i'm ever going to watch this one again
great movie though
