Yes, this suggestion isn't about banning “!”s, obviously, it's about banning bad words that use an “!” to get around the filter.

Then it would get worse, because users would say this:

How? Please actually justify your opinions with explanations or else your post doesn't add to the discyssion.

See, the post you just made would be allowed. Yes, it includes !s. But it isn't using them to replace words that are already banned.

See, the post you just made would be allowed. Yes, it includes !s. But it isn't using them to replace words that are already banned.

It will be difficult to detect because of the rest of the word. I mean, what about other characters? If mitten was a bad word, users could just use m.!.t.t.3.n.

Just report it - the Scratch Team can take care of adding possible censors in. The more they learn, the smarter they can be so they can be one step ahead of the people who do bad stuff.

Are you talking about censoring both the bad word and the version of the bad word that has an exclamation point replacing the “i”?
