Support if you can turn them on or off. They're very fun and I love GIFs. I'm a GIF gal but I understand some people are annoyed.

Well, that post was made in 2015. They could've had an old computer. I know I had a Windows XP at that time (we never got around to getting a new computer for the longest time) until upgrading to a Dell laptop.

No support. I don't see any lag on any computers (even on school computers) with any page full of these. I also have a bad laptop and don't experience any issues. Also, if you're complaining about studio thumbnails, shouldn't you be complaining about profile pictures too, as clicking “Followers” could cause lag if there were enough animated GIFs on a terrible computer?

I don't mind gifs on studio thumbnails. I think they should only be removed on projects; GIF project thumbnails used to be cool but now it's just another way for attention-hungry users to clickbait.
