Select tool glitch

My browser / operating system: Windows NT 10.0, Firefox 54.0, Flash 26.0 (release 0)
I have found a glitch with the select tool in the bitmap editor. When you make a selection without moving anything then make another selection the end result glitches out and moves away from where you tried to move it to. Usually it moves to where you made the first selection.

The thing about the bitmap editor is that once you deselect something, you can never select it again. Whatever you just made and deselected merges into whatever else you have on the screen. The select button is for selecting that merged drawing, not individual images. If you want to select things again you need to convert to vector.

What? I know that the bitmap editor is made up of one layer of pixels, and that once you move something over something else it can't be undone(except if you press the undo button). My glitch is that I select something with the selection tool. I do nothing with that selection and use the selection tool again. When I finish moving the new selection to where I want to put it the new selection moves somewhere else, often being where I made the first selection.

And this is why I never use bitmap. Perhaps you need to make a new costume and switch it to vector before doing anything. Vector is relatively easy to use because it not just one layer. However, there is something to be said for bitmap since it has an eraser and vector doesn't.

I use vector most of the time. I only really use bitmap if I need to make glitch text, edit a pixel art sprite (which I make in MS paint) slightly or I just want the thing to be bitmap for some reason. Besides it is not going to help me if i want to take a hat off a pixel art sprite I made if I switch the thing to vector, and using vector does not change the fact that this is still a glitch.

I was messing around with the editor, and found out that you don't even have to move your 2nd selection for this glitch to happen.

Let's say there is a red pixel on the left of the costume and a blue pixel on the right of the costume. I select the red pixel with the selection tool then without moving it use the selection tool again on the blue pixel. I move the blue pixel up. Instead of staying where I moved it, the upper right part of the screen, the blue pixel goes to the left of the screen near the red pixel. That is exactly what this glitch does.

It looks like needs to forget the old selection when reselecting a new area:

Pretty much. Anyway I noticed that this takes effect after you click on any options or costumes.
