Guys, I could use a bit of help. Whenever I'm in the project editor, and I tab out, even for a little bit, the editor tab freezes. I do not understand what is going on. Also, not like anybody would use this info, I am just using ChromeOS because it is my school PC. I normally use Windows, but I am not right now.

Hmm, this happens to me on my Windows using Chrome and my iOS using Puffin.

Yeah, I have to refresh, too. I hope somebody from the Scratch team can help us… I dunno if they will, though.

That has happening to me two or three times, i was able to unfreeze by pressing the minus signs wich decrease the zoom level for scripts.

Yea , it also happens to me.The project freezes and i have to refresh.

Chromebooks, two different models, haven't tried on my Windows PC yet. But both Chromebooks when using Scratch are fine. Until I switch tabs, then go back to the previous tab. Everything is frozen. I can reload the page but then I lose what wasn't previously saved. I noticed this the other day when helping with the forums. I created a quick example, went back to reread what they wrote, and went back to my tab, frozen, lost the project.

Just happened again on my newer CB, listed above, going back to Griffpatch Platform Tutorial and my current project. Frozen. I will check Windows running Chrome later on.

Only happens to me if I'm tabbed out for too long. If you need to change tabs, minimize and put them next to each other so they're both still open, seems to work for me.

I think this is a Flash issue - Flash freezes if you switch away, normally. I don’t know what kind of trickery fixes this for Scratch, but apparently the fix is not infallible.

Basically I’d suggest never switching away if you can help it - or you’re gonna have a few problems.~~~~

I have this problem too and I rarely have multiple tabs open or switch tabs. This problem happens a lot. Can someone please help?

Fix: Press the Fullscreen button so the screen can refresh.

Yeah. I've been getting the same problem.
But for me, let's say I'm on the sounds tab and I press the play button while my screen is frozen, it'll still play the sound. So I can still interact with everything but my screen is frozen

This happens to me ALL. THE. TIME. I've noticed that it only seems to happen when I'm currently typing anything into a block input and I switch there and back though. If I'm not doing that, it's usually fine. Though I will say I've been saving a lot more often recently.

Always happens to me too, needs fixing!

Same here, it freezes for like, forever.

It will look like it is frozen, but in reality it is not! Click where the save button would be and reload the page, you clicked the save button. It may look like it isn't there though it is!

when green flag clicked
say [I hope this has worked] for (3) secs
say [Thank you for reading!] for (3) secs
stop [this script v]

Just resize the window, this fixes it for me.

With me, when I try to save ANY of my projects, or even switch to another tab, it immediately freezes, which definitely didn't happen before. The projects run, but saving does not work at all. It's definitely a Flash problem; it's happened on every computer I've tried it on.

At least you can just refresh. Then it'll work.
