My browser / operating system: Windows NT 10.0, Chrome 52.0.2743.116, Flash 27.0 (release 0)

Hello!

I recently bought a brand new computer, and it works perfectly… except from on Scratch.
Whenever I plug headphones in to hear the music, it just doesn't work for some reason. I've tried using it with the speakers, and it works with them, though.
Before I get a million replies saying “It's just that your headphones/computer aren't/isn't working properly”, I can hear music perfectly fine when browsing through YouTube or Spotify on the same computer with the same headphones.
I've never heard of a site's music being incompatible with headphones before… can someone help me?

The sound card maybe disabled.
Make sure you logged on as Adminstrator, then open control panel and choose hardware and find “Device manager”
and find “Sound, video and game controllers” And find device that plays audio and right click and choose Enable. this should work fine if you see Disable,
the audio is already working.
OR choose firefox or update Google Chrome.
if anything didn't worked, sorry theres no way.

Hi, it has happened to me when i plug headphones with a project already running, but solved by stopping the project, then plug in the headphones and green flag.

Hey I cant here scratch sound either and I did what AmazingFlowershroom said to do and I did not work but I can still here all my other computer sounds
is there a way to fix this?

Nope, I always have the sound turned up.

im having the same problem 2 i can hear the sound whenever i go to the top and click on sounds and click play but i know its not a coding problem because i have a code like this

when green flag clicked
play sound [ v]

and it still does not work

Hi! Your problem doesn't seem to be related to this thread. In OP's case, sound wasn't playing in Scratch at all, but it was in other applications. Please make a new thread in the Help With Scripts forum. Thanks!
