i support this, but, i think the follower limit should be increased, i have 175 followers, and, unless i advertise, my projects get like no views naturally (some of my projects have lots of views because they were curated or “what the community is remixing” because it was a contest

How just maybe these restrictions would apply;
-User has not been front paged in the last month (except for Recently Shared and SDS)
-User has not gotten an alert in at least 3 months
-User is very helpful in the community
-User is active

Semi-support. This would make Scratch look more fame oriented, but if the users were not determined based on their popularity and rather their activity, it would make a great feature.

Very good idea.
Also, I'm glad you said you'd have to have minimal followers (Otherwise it'd be the same ppl over and over: Griffpatch, Mr-Animator, Splo, Saus, etc etc insert more trendy and popular people)

Semi support. One thing, how easy would it to create alt account get scratcher status, and lie that the scratcher was nice to get featured, how would the ST monitor and handle this.
Though it would be nice but I don't think there should be a follower limit for there could be someone with 100 followers yet project over fifty views. I think the limit should be no front pages, beside New Projects, and no project over 250/500 views.
Feel free to add on!

Semi support. Maybe increase the followers limit for new scratchers to 30 and the scratchers limit to 80 or 75.

I Support This As Long As The Scratchers Are Featured Cuz' Of Their Kindness And Nothing Else. After All, Projects And Studios Can Get Featured, So Why Can't Scratchers?

I Support This As Long As The Scratchers Are Featured Cuz' Of Their Kindness And Nothing Else. After All, Projects And Studios Can Get Featured, So Why Can't Scratchers? No, not because of kindness. That should definitely be a factor, but if your projects are trash, they're trash, and ST shouldn't be featuring trash.

This whole suggestion is to help new users gain followers. So it's biased towards unnoticed users? No support - why is there a follower cap? There is a follower cap because it is mainly for users that aren't noticed.
No support.

This should be about user's activity, not the amount of followers. The amount of followers for this suggestion is basically requesting something for popularity. This whole suggestion is to help new users gain followers. So it's biased towards unnoticed users? No support - why is there a follower cap? There is a follower cap because it is mainly for users that aren't noticed.

Why can't there be a follower cap for featured users? They apply in the same way.

Support! This sounds helpful! However, I have a suggestion:
1. Project Limits. For example, New Scratchers need to share at least two projects before becoming featured, while Scratchers need to share at least six projects.

This is an awful Idea, because it would make some users seem less important.

The only problem is, what would a user need to do to get featured?
Do they need to have a lot of activity, such as making projects, making lots of posts, working on many things?
Or do they need to have a lot of followers?
I personally disagree with the second, because that it just being popular and Scratch is not about trying to be better than others, it's trying to be better then you think you are.

EVERYONE! THIS IS NOT ABOUT FAME, BUT ABOUT HOW NICE/RESPECTFUL/HELPFUL THE USER IS.Semi-Support. While this would be nice it would be hard to implement. Because very few people on scratch are actually mean so deciding who is worthy of this award would be very challenging.
I think we should have a featured users section. I see a lot of really good users that don't get noticed. (And no I'm NOT trying to get noticed with this.)
There would be a featured Scratcher AND a featured NEW scratcher.
Limit followers: (NS: 10) (S: 50) Does that sound good?
