Remove Imageshack and Photobucket[11 SUPPORTERS]

muellly wrote:

While I don't think they should be removed entirely, I think that they should remove their listings from supported image hosts(Where they say which ones can be used, not the internal list of what can be used.) while still allowing them to be used, and change the message of what to upload pictures with from Imageshack to Cubeupload. That way they are discouraged but still can be used if someone wants to use them, and it won't break images using them.
So a semi support I suppose.

Yes I was saying that Cubeupload and Tinypic should stay.

Another thing we could do is replace them with postimages.org and freeimagehosting.net, they are both free with non-intrusive ads (if any ads at all) and the risk of inappropriate pictures are minimal.

Is that a support?

If you have things like Cubeupload and that other one, which are both free, then what's the point in having Imageshack and Photobucket? Support.

That's good! I use cubeupload now since I found out that Imageshack makes you pay.

Photobucket is “that site no one uses”, mostly because you pay for “third-party hosting”. Here's an example of what every Photobucket image is:

HOWEVER:
Cubeupload and Tinypic is what everyone uses.
I prefer cubeupload, and it's the most used one, but tinypic can stay.
So please remove Imageshack and Photobucket.

No support. So what if Imageshack makes you pay after 30 days, you have other options. BTW just becuase no one you know uses PhotoBucket doesn't mean that Scartch should get rid of it. The more sites Scratch supports the better.

No support because I didn't say semi support, I didn't say support anywhere in my post and yet you listed me as a semi-supporter. I don't want them to be removed, only hidden. There is no point removing something if having it isn't hurting anybody for it being an option, only the membershipless that decide to use it. In fact removing them would screw over the 1 or 2 people with memberships who use them.

You're not supporting just because someone thought you were semi-supporting?

Don't remove them as valid hosts, just stop them from being listed. Scratch doesn't want to get in trouble with parents because kids payed for a subscription on an imagehost website. You know it will happen eventually.

Why would a prevent blame scratch because there kid choose to buy something without asking there parents even though free alternatives exist? How is that Scratches fault.

^ Parents might be upset if they start paying for a subscription for an image host that Scratch then stops supporting. But Scratch does need to get rid of image hosts that become bad.

Isn't there a way to stop the subscription? It's not like they are forced to pay them every year/month for life..
