Music in Scratch
Can you put music in your Scratch games? And if you can, how? I've wanted to have music in my games, but I don't know how to add music, if you can.

Yes, you can.
or any other sound you want.
There's a tab next to costumes called sounds, there I think you can upload music as well as other sounds.

Well, that's what I assumed, but I don't know how to get the music into Scratch. Still thanks though!

He's not advertising. It's meant to help the poster.dude, don't advertise See my youtube project (my first project )
You can convert a youtube video to mp3. Longer ones should be converted to wav since scratch only supports wav files, and converting mp3 to wav usually takes a while.

There are sites you can use to download audio and convert them into .mp3 files. Keep in mind that this isn't always free, and often times this isn't legal (but don't worry, you won't be in trouble, if anyone gets in trouble it's the makers of that site).
You can also find music from other projects and go inside the project and add the audio to your backpack. It's much simpler, and won't involve downloading anything.

yes, but you would either have to backpack other music that you want. if there is dirty words in it, don't do it. remember to check the lyrics before you decide to use a song. if it was originally a dirty song but the swears were taken out and nothing else too bad is in it, use it, but as long as you give credit.
you can go to scratch library on the sounds tab to get sounds from scratch. they are instrumental. and you can download music from other websites that are safe and you are allowed to go on. scratch team recently banned all the projects that are remixes of music playing things that are only meant to play music.
