I'm almost certain this has been posted before, but I'm not savvy enough to find it anywhere. In all the Scratch 3 demos available, there are no custom blocks available. Is adding in the Scratch 2 custom blocks a priority at any point in the future?

Follow up: If custom blocks are not added to Scratch 3 (darn), what will happen to all the projects on the website currently using them?

I think at one point there was a basic copy of custom blocks but they got removed. I believe they said that they want to try a new approach with them and redesign them. They will definitely add them at some point, there too important.

I would imagine they would have to. Too many projects use them. Is this “basic copy” available on GitHub or somewhere else? I'm too curious now…

Not that I know of, It was quite a while ago. Hopefully it shouldn't be too long before their added again.

Actually, if you use scratch 3 to load a scratch 2 project, it will keep custom blocks.
