No support because the footer is an alternative to the nav bar and already exists. And Tips in the nav bar goes to a Help with Scripts Forum link (scroll past the starter stuff). So, getting to the forums is easy enough if you don't want to create a bookmark. And if you are new and need help, that's also easy enough to get.

I really like this idea. Maybe also something speech-bubble esque (a box with an arrow pointing at the “Forums” button) saying “Check out the forums!” or something along those lines.

They made a big mistake with that. How could people read that if they had NO IDEA where it went. Now, I typed https://.scratch.mit.edu/discuss or something like that. But anyway, the scratch team made a post about that, but didn't think about the fact that if nobody knew where it went, they wouldn't be able to read the post. I SUPPORT THIS.

Okay, I snipped that a bit, but the main points are still there. And I originally started this post thinking ‘let’s just get this closed'. And then I checked again, and it said it isn't being re-added in the navigation bar. Which actually changes my view to a neutral one. This is still a possibility, though, since it isn't adding it back ‘in the navigation bar’. So perhaps the ST was alluding towards introducing this as part of keeping the forums alive? Just a theory

I personally think that the forums link would be more noticeable on the side than at the footer of the page; therefore getting more clicks.

I support, I actually freaked out for a good 30 mins cos I couldn't find d the button

they are already going to implement a feature to get New Scratchers to notice the forums, we just have to wait, no support
