I read the whole thing! That was cool how you all actually took time to think about the situation and create a solution!

I say we shouldn`t change the title, just to protest the ridiculousness of the trademark holder`s request!

I am never doing ANYTHING associated with Namco again.Have a read of this: http://wiki.scratch.mit.edu/wiki/Pac-Man_Project_Taken_Off_the_Scratch_Website_by_NAMCOYea, remember what happened to a Pac-Man project? What happened to the Pac-Man project?
Also, why “Scratch” and not “Scratch™”? Shouldn't Scratch be a trademark too? (and, I'm wondering if MIT is a trademark.)
Didn't think you could get worse than the pacman project issue but now…..

Wow, that's ridiculous.
The only reason that I'm genuinely capable of thinking of for someone to do something as childish as this is if it was some sort of joke. And it's a multimillion dollar company, so it wasn't. Companies as big as that should know better than this.

I will avoid using trademarks on Scratch as best as I can.I totally agree with you. I think that EVERY one should avoid using trademarks on Scratch as best as they could.

Wow… this would make for a funny newspaper article… “Multimillion dollar complex demands name change of a Children's Online Studio” XDOmg fell out of chair laughing

I don't think it is necessary for a multi-million dollar corporation to try and take legal action against kids who are trying to learn how to program animations on Scratch… But people will do anything to protect their trademark, even if there is a blatantly obvious difference between a Scratch Studio and a large business.

So they really thought the name of a collection of projects in an educational website would interfere with their business?
Gee.

I have a question. I made a project called Idea Storm, but that is already something to do with Dell computers. Will I get sued or something?Technically they are liable to sue you if that's the name of one of their products/trademarks. I would rename it just to be safe.
