Scratch isn't all about fame, right?

Hiding users who follow you could be helpful- as that way people focus more on you then how many followers you have

FOllowers don't matter, how you act does, right?

on YouTube, you can hide your sub count. this would be nice for users who just don't think followers matter

and yes, the user cans till see how many followers they have/who follows them

Support. Purpose of Scratch is not to become popular. Having a lot of followers is not enough to get noticed.

That's why I rejected the “Featured Users” suggestion.

Being very active is the best way.

It does indeed cause useless drama and spam (for whatever reason?), but it's certainly not useless. Most of the useless drama is just people upset that they “aren't popular” and causes F4F (which is actually useless and ruining the meaning behind following).

I agree. There are several points to following, it certainly should not be removed. However that isn't what this topic is about so I'm not going to go into that.

I don't completely agree about this feature because while Scratch certainly isn't about fame, most people do think about their follower amount and I don't see this being used by many people. Also, if somebody followed someone with this, would it show up in “What I've been doing?” Should you be able to just block people from following you in the first place? I think that would be better if this were to be implemented, because it was mentioned that the user could still see who followed him/her. That kinda ruins the point of not caring about fame.

Following someone is a type of expression. No support.

Support.
On Scratch you aren't supposed to be focused on followers though the people who follow you get an update on when you post a new project which means more people can see something that you work hard on.
This would be optional right?
I think a lot of users would find this useful (I am one of those users) because they don't want to focus on followers.

I stand corrected, but also stand by the other things I said.

Sometimes I am interested in who is following other Scratchers, sometimes I am not. It is easy enough to ignore the followers (and following) line in a profile,* that I don't think this feature is needed.

* outside of animated gifs, that maybe should be paused by default

And what if somebody acts famous and above everybody?
No way to prove if they are really or faking unless you can do links

Are you guys even serious?

No support. Scratch certainly is not about fame, but following someone shows that you care about their projects. Or, if you see someone's followers and then they follow you you'd get happy and show that a lot of people like your projects.

Agreed. While it can create drama, people follow you because they like your work. Hiding followers would be pretty pointless.

Your not listening, they could still see WHEN they are followed, and see who is following them, but other's can't
