I'm working on a Minecraft Battle against mobs, and I thought I would be complete with the sound. So I got the whole Minecraft Sound Effects File and tried to take a Zombie sound, it was 1 second, 16.4 KB, file format MP3 and all was fine! Why did it not load?

Perhaps it is DRM protected.

Or perhaps its extension says MP3 but actually it is an MP4.

I changed the .ogg format to .mp3 myself.

You need to convert the format not to rename it. If you haven't any software able to do the task search for some online service.

That's what I did. After I changed the name, it showed a warning that I was about to change the format.

A warning saying that it is not a good idea.
Again, you need to convert the sound to MP3 or WAV format.

The warning says “You are about to convert this file to another format”

It has to be a WAV file.

No, no, nooooo! Why do people mistreat files so badly?

The file extension is there for a reason. It tells your computer what kind of file it is. What if you had changed it to png or jpg? Do you think it would magically have changed from a sound into a picture?

Scratch does not support the ogg sound file format.

It is clear for me.
