The .sb2 format is not compatible with Scratch 1.4.

Can't Open Downloaded scratch files
I'm having the same problem. I use the online scratch 2 editor to keep projects up in the cloud. Then when I get to school (i am a teacher) and download the sample files I have been working on for the pupils to use in the offline (up to date scratch 2) editor then they will not open. I get no error messages but nothing happens. If I upload them again to the online editor as new projects they work fine. I am assuming there is a problem with the offline editor. Any ideas?

I'm having this same problem! I have 160 student projects to grade a week which are created in the online editor, and have been successfully having the students download .sb2 files to a local drive and I grade them (click by click) using the 2.0 off-line editor. As of two days ago, I can no longer most of those same .sb2 files and grades are due. I'm trying this on two Macs (10.6.8 and 10.8.5) and a PC (Windows XP). It seems that the first few files open, and then they don't. No error message or notice that it's trying to open the file. Just a blank editor.

Can't Open Downloaded scratch files
Can someone post a file that won't open in Scratch 2? Thanks.Just had a look and they are ok now. There've definitely been changes as the monitor labels are working again, so hopefully whatever else was done when that was changed has cured the problem.
(Note: Had deleted the old project files that wouldn't open so re-downloaded)

I need help saving programs to my pc. I am trying down load and up load, there are no extensions on the files, rendering them useless.

My files will open in the offline editor, but will not run the scripts. What do I do?? I am using Scratch 2 offline editor and my students have downloaded them as a .sb2 format.
