I have a feeling like editing comments was rejected altogether.
If you really wanna fix your spelling mistakes, I say to proofread your comments first, then send them.

And before you say that i didn't include the word, it's invisible. The word is not invisible. It's a different word.

Excuse me, did you see the word, “EDITING”? “EDITING”.No Support. You obviously didn't read the whole post. This suggestion is for editing comments.
60 second rule for posting is enough.
Spamming posts every second would be spam. Editing posts every second isn't since you are just improving on what you previously said.
Grapefruit
That sentence mentions between what spam editing would be and spam posting.
I said that a second rule for posting is fine but I don't think editing needs a rule.

Are you talking about comments (where currently editing isn't allowed – and is what this suggestion proposes); or editing forum posts?Excuse me, did you see the word, “EDITING”? “EDITING”.No Support. You obviously didn't read the whole post. This suggestion is for editing comments.

Hate to break it to you. We aren't writing books.

On Earth, the normal practice is that editing after publication is for a new edition.
Yes, these are comments. So they matter less. But the practice of rewriting what was written, but having it appear to be the first time, is a problem.

Anyways, the suggestion is a short amount of time to edit your comment, it's not like people should be allowed to edit their comment days after making it.

Support. As someone who's extremely picky about spelling & grammar, this would be really useful.

I think people could use it for the wrong reason, say they were angry they could go onto someones project and start swearing and then delete what they commented.Scratch has a bad-language detector

Support. This is a good idea, because you could easily misspell something or post something twice.

On the forums, if you need to change something, you can.
However, with comments, you can't.
Now, I know that this is to lower spam/cyber-bullying.
Soo… to solve this problem and continue to prevent mean-ness, what if you could only edit before 30 seconds. This wouldn't give anyone enough time to really see it, so if it was mean and someone realized they made a mistake, they could fix it.
Please say “Grapefruit” in your post so I know you read this.
Tell me what you think, I know it's probably not a good suggestion but I want to hear what everyone's thoughts were.
Also, in support of the ending of the support convention, I will not be listing/counting supports. Any claim without reasoning will be ignored.
Also, I know this is rejected, but I feel like this is something that nobody's actually thought about yet. Sorry if this is what they were referring to.
Edits:
1) Comment won't be view-able for the 30 second allotted time slot. After the editable period, the whole community will be able to see your comment.
2) The Scratch Team will be able to view your revision history. If they find that your are abusing your privilege, you will not be able to edit comments for a period of time.
That's a great idea! I don't think it should be hidden though. Because it could lead to conversations taking much longer. Instead, people can see it, but the writer can still change it within a certain amount of time. But I think it should be a little longer than 30 seconds. It could be a long post and people are reading through it, thinking about it, then realize that their time is up. So maybe 1 minute. Also, Scratch looking through the revision history is a great idea. Because it's kinda ridiculous and frustrating that we can't edit.

I think people could use it for the wrong reason, say they were angry they could go onto someones project and start swearing and then delete what they commented. After they sweared, the 30 seconds are likely going to pass and his comment will be there for all to see, during the 30 sec time, the comment will be invisible…
The OP suggests to edit comments, not delete them…
You can't spam a user without consequence if you can't delete the comment7. Delete your comments on other peoples' projectsThe same thing applies to editing comments. Strong oppose.
This is so that people can't post troll comments and then delete them, while you aren't likely to troll people on your own projects, studios, or profile. On the forums the solution to this is that you can only delete posts 24 hours after they have been posted, and deletes are not permanent (although I don't think they're permanent for comments either).
