I played 3k when I was little with my dad looking over my shoulder explaining how to lay out my road systems, etc.
But that didn't last long and in my confusion I would find alien invasions and tornadoes much more entertaining.

My favourite is SimCity Societies because you can build different types of buildings (rather than having to see what you get), it allows for more creative towns (whoo fairground in the desert) and is the best looking, and yes - you don't need ORIGIN!!!

Sim City 3000 actually had a building creator (well, technically Sim City 2000 had SCURK too but this was much easier to use). I thought that was such an advanced feature for the time. I started a city in 4 Deluxe and within about 4 hours it has 40,000 people and I've gotten a ton of reward buildings

I had one city once (I deleted it because it was too laggy) that had over 100,000 people, around $1,000,000, and only took up like half of the area. I had unlocked every reward building too.
And once I had a city that I had just started, and I was looking through the reward buildings list, and for some reason, the resort hotel was already unlocked, even though I hadn't done anything, so I built it.

That's where I come in. I asked my dad what in the world were arcologies.
Response:

not true
Response:
Arcologies don't exist. They're just made-up things in SC2000.And then I was all

The version I like the most is SimCity 2000 Network. It allowed you to play SimCity 2K with other people or by yourself!

We get to play Sim City 4 in class. I know this sounds like cheating but whenever my partner and I mess up we don't save and when we do something awesome we save immediately.

It's a great game! I haven't touched it for awhile. I made a custom song for it, which I might upload to my soundcloud page if people are interested. I got SimCity 2000 about a month ago and I love it! How about you?
Oldest city (DELETED) New City starts Jan 1900 and lived until Jan 1957.

I got mad, because I bought Sim City 5 which uses Origin, and one day it just didn't show up in my Origin account, so emailed them but never got it back. For that, I will never buy an Origin game again, but I love Sim City 4
hmm.. I got SimCity 3 on origin and it worked fine .. wired
