This forum, as said, shows announcements from the Scratch Team, such as updates, declarations, and news from the Scratch Website. Scratchers can post in these topics, although some may be closed (they will show grey text). However, Scratchers cannot create their own topic/announcement, since these announcements are only from Scratch Team.

Yup, this forum is made to welcome you If you haven't checked it out yet, be sure to! There, you can find topics that will surely make you feel welcomed. There are quite a few stickied topics that you can read as great guides.

Making Scratch Projects

Help With Scripts- Need help with your Scratch project? Ask here!
As said, if you need any script help upon your projects, ask for help in this forum. Don't be afraid to ask for help! Chances are, you'll get a great answer and come up with great code for your project! However, this isn't a place to advertise your projects once it's finished- you may do so at the forum explained below.

Show and Tell- Tell everyone about your projects and studios.
Many scratchers can't wait to tell others about their projects and studios when they are completed and released/shared, but is posting links on studios and projects really that appealing to those who receive the message? In this case, it's definitely better to create a topic in the Show and Tell forum about your studio or project!

Project Ideas- A place to give and get help thinking of project ideas.
So… Did someone run out of project ideas again? This is definitely the place to look for them. TheAwesomeMaster's List of Project Ideas gives you a straight-on, quick list of project ideas inside project idea projects. You can also base a project off a project idea in these lists- be creative!

Collaboration- Join with others to work together on Scratch projects!
Scratch Team's topic, discouraging Collaboration accounts, was made- so remember, no collab accounts! Even though there aren't any collab accounts allowed, you sure are welcome to collaborate on a project (e.g. project ideas or making sprites) and does not involve collaboration accounts. Have fun collaborating!

Requests- Looking for something? Want to offer your skills to others?
The Requests forum is a great place to request sprites, thumbnails, icons, and basically anything else you want to use on Scratch! Let's say you're person A, and you aren't the best at logo designing while person B is good at logo designing. Well… what should person A and person B do? Go to the Requests forum and tell person B in his/her shop, or simply post your request as a new topic and wait for another, more capable user to respond and give you your request. Some shops have order templates that you need to follow when you want to request in the shop. If you're just posting your request in a separate topic, though, it would be good to have a thourough description of what your request is and what you'd like it to look like. The best part is, unlike shops in real life, shops in the Requests forum are free to make, and all of your orders do not require money! There are hundreds of active shops on Scratch, where you can request, and join as an employee if you're good at the shop perk, and have fun! Just remember, don't request randomly!

Suggestions- Do you think there is anything that could improve Scratch?
Maybe you're exploring Scratch and, POP! Suddenly, a thought pops in your head. Congratulations! You've just thought of a new way to improve Scratch! So… where do you go? Go to the Suggestions forum and post your suggestion in a new topic! Scratch Team might view it if it is good and even consider to add your suggestion as an edit to the site!

Bugs and Glitches- Found a Bug or Glitch on Scratch?
Before we start, let's clarify what bugs and glitches exactly are. A bug might be when the screen goes completely white when it's not supposed to be on a certain page. A glitch might be when, for example, that blue “Create” button on the navigation bar disappears. Now that we know what bugs and glitches actually are, if you find one on Scratch, you know where to report it.

There's no way I can disagree on that - a lot of new members would definitely find this useful.
