Cross Country Running!

This is for all the runners out there!

Discuss cross country, your best mile times, longest distance, etc.

My best mile is too slow to be proud of being a cross country runner, but it is 8:30. That should be my average, not my best. The longest I have ever run was 6 miles. Tough.

My specs: Windows 8.1.2 - 3 GB RAM - Intel Core2 Quad - IE11

In 2018, I asked the Scratch Team to remove all my forum posts to protect my privacy. That's why this post is blank. Besides, I've outgrown this website, and I don't want the dumb things I said in my late tween/early teen years to follow me around for the rest of my life. This post probably wasn't anything interesting or important, anyway.

I ran/walked a 5k when I was 7…

But I am so not running cross country! I have very little endurance. I will probably just run Track.

Oh, I'm pretty awful at Cross Country, but I'm doing at our school anyway so I can get better. It always seemed interesting because my brother did it for a while, and I wanted to try it out.

I'm not good with endurance, but my best mile was 6:03, and my longest run was about 8 miles

I've been listening to…
Ogre Battle // Queen // Queen II // Heavy Metal, Hard Rock, Progressive Metal
Orion // Metallica // Master of Puppets // Heavy Metal, Thrash Metal, Instrumental
Damage Inc. // Metallica// Master of Puppets // Thrash Metal, Heavy Metal
Snow (Hey Oh) // Red Hot Chilli Peppers // Snow (Hey Oh) // Soft Rock, Acoustic
Who Wants To Live Forever // Queen // A Kind of Magic // Power Ballad, Soft Rock
I suggest you listen to…
For a influential playlist: Damage Inc and Orion. Both of these songs are part of the album that revolutionized heavy and thrash metal forever.

We had a race today. IT WAS TERRIBLE. It was 94 degrees out and the dew point was 76. And most of the course was on sand! I actually have a cold now (no joke) because the air quality was so bad.

My Fastest Mile: 7:14 (Don't laugh, its a perfectly fine time. DONT LAUGH! *Hides face*)
My Fastest 3K: Ran today, actually. 15:48 (Don't judge me.)
Longest I have WALKED in 24 hours: 33.5 miles at this event called Relay for Life. I walked 6 hours straight, from midnight to 6am and my feet almost fell off. And by 6 hours straight, i mean I walked that entire time. For me thats impressive.

That is an excellent 5k! Better that mine (by a lot!). And 24 hours of walking? Whoa…

That's a good mile time. If you want to be faster all you need to do is practice and watch you'll be the fastest one in your class like me. My mile is 5:50. If you put your mind to it and forget about how much your side hurt's you'll be really fast. their is a saying the more you hurt the pain leaves your body. It means when you hurt and keep going next time you run you will be able to run farther and faster. I tried that when I was in cross country for south valley middle school 7th grade ( my school) I was in the top 5. So what i'm trying to say, ask your parents to take you to a gym with a track or you can run on the treadmill, if you run at least 3 times a week you'll be fast and you'll get a better mile time.

My mile time is 5:50 and that was before I started cross country and now it's 5:25. I practiced every day and when we ran 8 miles one time for our road run i didn't stop till the 5 mile mark.I walked for 3 min then ran the rest with out stopping. If you want to get faster and better at running you should give cross country or track a try.I get to do track next year because, 7th graders don't get to do track. And sorry LeDerpy123 if I was bragging I wasn't trying to. I'm competitive when it come's to sport's and clothes, but mostly sport's. I play 8 differ sport's. I come from a sport family. And I was also trying to give you some tips on running. Sorry if it sounded like I was bragging =]

Whoo! a cross country topic! I do cross country (not a lot, but I do). I do 800 metres as well , which my PB is 2 minutes 48 secs. I'm not that good, but hey.

I am also thinking about doing a 5k run every saturday, because there is a timed 5k run near where live.

My longest distance… Hmm… Probably about 6 miles or so. Whew.

I am mostly a hurdler actually - I do 75m hurdles in 14.2 seconds, which is the best in my county

Cross Country Running sounds interesting and challenging, I would try it once I have a chance. Walked 20km when I was younger (like 11 year'ol) on trail once, but nothing as big as Cross Country. I have nothing to brag about. :'(
