Add a download button that has two forms
1. Scratch 2.0 (Default)
2. Scratch 1.4

I agree, I only use 1.4 to make games, and others should also be allowed to use it.

You can, click on help and it will be on the right hand side

I mean downloading projects in that format!

2.0 uses new code… for EVERYTHING. Sorry, but this won't happen. They can't always make everything backwards-compatable.

You can still download 1.4, it is just that the 1.4 website is gone.

joshuaho is right. To download a project shared from 1.4, press share to. Under Download1.4 Project click “Download Code”. Then click open. Just notting, I'm using Windows7. I think this button should be more visible. The scratch team should post the two buttons next to the project. Anyone know when the download version of 2.0 comes out. I'm probably going to use that after some other scratch stuff.

that actually is not possible because of the new blocks like cloning,username.etc. you can't download it because scratch 1..4 won't know what to do with them. it is possible though to upload projects from Scratch 1.4.

What they're trying to say(as clarified in the replies) is that they want to download PROJECTS to 1.4. Totally different concept.

You can only download the 1.4 code for projects uploaded during 1.4. (or 1.3 or earlier)

How so? It should be working properly if a project was designed in 1.4.

I agree with co13, I think the download button should be easier to access. I've had lots of people asking me where I got the download link already and I don't think it's easy to figure out where it is :\

I think we can all agree that SCRATCH NEEDS AN OFFLINE EDITOR… very, VERY badly. I also can't work on scratch for a while because I'm going on a trip and will have VERY SLOW internet connection, if AT ALL.
