There were suggestions to ban links posted in the comments, but I have a better idea.

Approving comments, how they work is
that you will receive a message when someone posts a comment on you project, profile, or studio, But, before those comments are posted, they have to be approved by you, you can either approve, or report comments,

Here's the message:

RadomUser has a comment waiting for approval
Awesome game!
Approve Disapprove Report

When you disapprove a comment, you have to give a reason why, for example, advertising. To prevent private messaging, only the ST could see disapproved comments, and you could get an alert if you try to private message someone.

When you report a comment waiting for approval, the report gets sent to the ST, if the comment breaks the CG, the user who's comment got reported would get an alert.

So, what do ya think?

EDIT:Approving comments can be toggled on and off
I made this big because too many people are asking about this, no offense, anyone who asked about this

What would happen if the comment were (Dis)Approved? Would there be a notification sent back? Either way, I like this suggestion, because it's a good way of sorting through your comments and taking out the ones you don't find interest in.

Featured projects wouldn't have many comments, then. I highly doubt that anyone would have the time to review all of the comments. I don't find that a good idea, unless you get like 5 comments per project. No support.

No support as per this. It would also make it impossible to publicly post comments on projects made by someone inactive.

Ehh.. I don't know how much we need this. You could just delete comments you don't like.

Right..
But I don't know exactly if “approving” is exactly what I want, maybe it could be optional?
It might create a lot more work for the person who made the project to go through and approve or disapprove all those comments..

It could be optional, and this would help a lot of people teach new scratchers about advertising without the whole world saying “Don't advertise” over and over and over again. No offense

This suggestion could actually lead to a rejected suggestion, PMing. You post a comment on a user's profile, and they purposely don't accept it so that no one else sees the message. Also don't support for some other reasons people stated.

In a nutshell, you can not disapprove a comment for no reason. And if you lie, you could get an alert.

I think this has a few flaws:

1. This should be togglable. I don't think every comment section should be an approvable system.
2. How would people react to not seeing their comment? There would be lots of people getting frustrated, sad, confused, etc. over their comment not being approved.
3. Featured projects? Popular projects? Is it worth the hassle? I don't find that to be very effective, and most people would just give up on approving any comments. (Assuming people find that tedious)

1. My OP said it is togglable.
2.That's their problem, if the comment is disapproved, the person who made the comment would get a message saying why.
3.See one

What if you just don't do anything to the comment? You wouldn't be asked to give a reason.
Also, having a reason place would make this whole thing take even LONGER, and I don't think you've ever needed to give a reason to why you deleted a comment.

This situation would be like the 60/120 second rule, you may find it annoying, but it helps in a big way,

I don't get what you're trying to say. It's not annoying, it can lead to something rejected, in a very easy way.
