Cool. I'm a twin too!

I won't necessarily say they're my favourite characters though, but that certainly heightens my liking of Fred and George.

2. Voldemort - He isn't just like a boring villain. He actually has a motive and a back story which makes him interest me. Not just like “I wish to take over the world, i'm not sure what i'll do after that”
3. Dumbledore

That is true. JKR makes her characters so realistic - that's one of the things that really gripped me about HP. Like you say, Voldy has a proper motive. And even Harry and Ron's behaviour over the years is fantastically portrayed, whether it be when they first come to realise girls as romantic interests, or their hormonal mood swings.

Yaknow I get the whole “He was conceived of a love potion” thing but aside from that I think his proper motive is about as real as Hitler's, which is, insanity, or the nonexistence of one

That bit is understood: His love was as unreal as Tom Riddle Sr's love for Merope Gaunt as she used love potion to get to him. Hitler is proof that such evil people do exist, so doesn't that make Voldemort's behaviour realistic in comparison?

JKR has stated that she's up for writing a book about the extended HP universe, but only if she comes up with a good enough plot. She hasn't stated anything about an HP8 in such as she even recently declined the idea.
