Like, what? Spiderleg: “Oh look, we forgot to put him in Alleigiances, let's make him die of greencough when he just started enjoying life with his family!” Nice, Erins. Nice.

WARRIOR CATS- THE GENETICS PROBLEM
Calico/tortoiseshell cats are rarely male, just like orange tabbies are rarely female. I think that this is essentially a bad thing, like say someone who is not very familiar with cats and genes and stuff. They could be mislead here. Say they go into a friends house. They have a calico cat. They'll ask,“Hey,is your cat a boy or a girl?,”. They would (probably) reply: “A girl.”. Say they do that to more friends with calico cats. Every one is female. They'd be like: “Why are the cats female? There are boy ones in the books!”,. And that poor person would have to learn about the gene.

In my opinion, when I see toms as calicos/tortoiseshells, it doesn`t feel right. According to “Cat Genetics” about 95% of calico/tortoiseshell cats are female! I also can`t exactly imagine toms as tortoiseshells. It doesn`t feel right. Toms should at least be half tortoiseshell, half another breed, but not all tortoiseshell.

So I don't know if you're still talking about the Ashfur Whitewing theory, but is it possible that the genes of Birchfall's parents went into the kits? Birchfall's parents were Ferncloud (all grey) and Dustpelt. Birchfall got Dustpelt's genes, but Dovewing and Ivypool got Ferncloud's.

Oh ya I had forgotten that Ferncloud was related to them. That would explain why Ivypool and Dovewing don't look like Birchfall. So Ashfur is probably not their father. (Well I've never believed that Ashfur was their father anyway.)

I think it is ok. We know male calico cats do not exist, but they did it and I don't think we can change that lol XD

Can you even get male tortoiseshells? That's true. Also, why are there MALE TORTIES WITH BLUE EYES?! THEY ARE MARY SUES IN DEVELOPMENT! Blue eyes is very rare in cats. A male tortie with blue eyes is SOOOO hard to achieve, and in nature, it's even rarer!

I could its just very, very, very, very rare! Most of the time that small chance of getting a calico tom is even smaller cause they can be only part calico and not just calico. Like a mix, for example part calico and part tabby.

Whitewing wasn't even mentioned to show up at Ashfur's vigil. Oh ya I had forgotten that Ferncloud was related to them. That would explain why Ivypool and Dovewing don't look like Birchfall. So Ashfur is probably not their father. (Well I've never believed that Ashfur was their father anyway.)

Exactly, why would Whitewing show up to his vigil when she didn't care for him at all. So Ashfur most likely wasn't Ivypool and Dovewing's father.
