DRAGON DROP - A CONTENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM | HELP US MAKE A WEBSITE TO HELP MAKE WEBSITES
1. On a Scale of 1 - 10 how much HTML do you know (be honest): Almost all of HTML5, 9/10
2. On a Scale of 1 - 10 how much CSS do you know (be honest): I know the syntax and most major tags, 8/10
3. On a Scale of 1 - 10 how much JS do you know (be honest): I know how to use it, 5/10
4. On a Scale of 1 - 10 how much PHP do you know (be honest): Same as Javascript, 6/10
5. On a Scale of 1 - 10 how much SQL do you know (be honest): I know it relatively well, 8/10
6. Why do you want to apply?: I have nothing to do and I love making new things
7. What is DragonDrop?: Mainly a website where you build websites with a drog and drop editor but hopefully it will branch out into many other things such as hosting, forums, and educational courses on development
8. Please send a link/code snippets of your recent work. Please don't judge I did this in less than a day
click me (and I was using a PHP script for the contact page but later found out Github doesn't like that
)
9. Have you ever worked on a big project like this before? If so what was/is it? Please be honest, this isn't a huge judging criterion. Sorta, I joined late in developing Explore
10. Which job do you want? Front-End developer and maybe Back-End helper
11. What does your job involve? (we are just making sure you understand your job) Designing/laying out what the website will look like while also making sure it is responsive and works with the backend
12. Why should we pick you rather than others? I'm starting to learn more low level languages and how to incorporate them into the internet and the web (for example I am learning about Web Assembly which seems like it will become a lot faster and reliable than Javascript while also being closer to the machine )
13. What is your GitHub username? Callowaysutton
Please judge yourself honestly - this is really simply a test of your honesty and your judging:
14. Dedication: 1/10; 8.5/10
15. Skill: 1/10; 8/10
16. Activity: 1/10; 9/10
17. Grammar & Punctuation: 1/10; 9/10

Also don't use PHP, use Ruby, Crystal, or Node, they would be a lot easier and faster to deploy/develop and in carrying out a workload.

Also don't use PHP, use Ruby, Crystal, or Node, they would be a lot easier and faster to deploy/develop and in carrying out a workload.i use PHP, and a bunch of the source is PHP, and node also only uses 1 core, so it isnt the best for large scale programs. Because its already mostly written in PHP, itll probably stay that way

Yes, we are already (super) far along with PHP backend. Plus the majority of the background programmers hardly know Ruby, Crystal, or Node. But in PHP we are great. Also don't use PHP, use Ruby, Crystal, or Node, they would be a lot easier and faster to deploy/develop and in carrying out a workload.i use PHP, and a bunch of the source is PHP, and node also only uses 1 core, so it isnt the best for large scale programs. I like the new topic,I fixed, and thanks.
I found a grammar mistake,
“It is simply just for fun, to learn, to help out, and how to have something good on your resume:”
The “how to have something good on your resume” part sounds a little weird, maybe it should be “It is simply just for fun, to learn, to help out, and have something good on your resume:”HelloHi! Would you be interested in one of the project manager roles?
Sure

DRAGON DROP - A CONTENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM | HELP US MAKE A WEBSITE TO HELP MAKE WEBSITES
Hello, everyone! Thank you for stopping by this topic. Our project is to code a Drag and Drop website builder like Weebly or Wix, to help other people create a website. We are also making a few other smaller projects within this project such as a Font Maker, a forum/membership site, web design courses, free servers, and more. We will be putting “interns” on these projects, however, they will still communicate with the main team. Right now we are working on a new process, which is basically a slightly modified version of SCRUM. This should help us get more work done.
Below we have the jobs that we are “hiring” for, and the current people who are helping with this project, and their jobs. It is important to remember that this project is being built outside of Scratch with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and SQL. A little bit of JQurey may also be involved. When applying please keep this in mind, and let us know which of these programming languages you know already. YOU MUST have a GitHub account in order to apply, that is what we will be using for most of the development. The number is up to how many we are looking for.
Below are the roles that we are applying for:(6) Frontend Coders - PLEASE APPLY!!!
(3) Backend Coders
You can visit the member page to see the roles
HERE IS THE MEMBER PAGE
You may apply below, just answer the questions that we asked (with numbers of the order they came in would be great, or you could quote it). Remember, it is not important that you know all of these programming languages, but please be honest with which ones you do know. Because this is a volunteer, we have an 85% acceptance rate, and we respect your opinion if you would like to quit. Remember, this is a volunteer job, so we do not pay. It is simply just for fun, to learn, to help out, and to have something good on your resume (you only need to fill out the scale questions if you are applying for that aspect of the project):1. On a Scale of 1 - 10 how much HTML do you know (be honest)
2. On a Scale of 1 - 10 how much CSS do you know (be honest)
3. On a Scale of 1 - 10 how much JS do you know (be honest)
4. On a Scale of 1 - 10 how much PHP do you know (be honest)
5. On a Scale of 1 - 10 how much SQL do you know (be honest)
6. Why do you want to apply?
7. What is DragonDrop?
8. Please send a link/code snippets of your recent work.
9. Have you ever worked on a big project like this before? If so what was/is it? Please be honest, this isn't a huge judging criterion.
10. Which job do you want?
11. What does your job involve? (we are just making sure you understand your job)
12. Why should we pick you rather than others?
13. What is your GitHub username?
Please judge yourself honestly - this is really simply a test of your honesty and your judging:
14. Dedication: 1/10
15. Skill: 1/10
16. Activity: 1/10
17. Grammar & Punctuation: 1/10
Thanks for applying! As a thank you, I would like to allow you to take a look at the current website editor. You can check it out by going to dragondrops.net, and signing up. Then you can go to dragondrops.net/editor. Thanks!
My reply to all this:
Cool!
