MP3 Problems

'We're not sure what the problem is, but it's a lively one, and it does NOT like MP3 files.'
-Cave Johnson, quote modified to prove a point here.

Okay, this is dealing with an issue I've been experiencing with MP3 files, especially one from an online converter. SUPPOSEDLY, even though Scratch's primary sound format is Waveform (.wav), it also supports MPEG-1 Audio Layer 3 (.mp3) files. However, when I attempt to upload MP3, I get some sort of audio that's just one line. I've tried it with both Chrome and Firefox on my Macbook Air, and while it worked previously, it now seems to suddenly seem unable to accept these types of files. This, however, only happens with MP3, Waveform is okay. Also, it seems that this issue only occurs with files converted online, but when I import custom-made music from GarageBand, it is accepted by Scratch.

(Also just a suggestion, but maybe you could add support for other types of audio ?)

Please, PLEASE don't use them. Audacity does it better and doesn't implant viruses into your converted files.
MP3 exported from Audacity work 100% of the time for me.

No I don't make projects anymore. I left some time ago.
I only check the forums every now and then, but other than that consider me retired.
