Well, I guess you could say it's for people around 13-14 and up (?), but I started reading it when I was around 12 or so, as well. The main “problem” with Homestuck is the violence and character death, and a lot cussing…there is some disturbing content in the comic as well, mainly stuff I'm not allowed to talk about on here.
So, yeah, I guess your friend might want to wait a bit if he/she is sensitive to that kind of stuff.
