German Translation Mistakes

Hello together!

I noticed that there are a lot of mistakes and “gaps” on the German website of Scratch.
  • This is where you will see updates from Scratchers you follow. Check out some Scratchers you might like to follow. This is not German. It's English. German would be about: Hier kannst du Neuigkeiten von Scratchern sehen, denen du folgst. Finde Scratcher, die dich interessieren könnten.
  • Next to that, there is the news box. The content is also in English.
  • Under the button Folgen (Follow) (in studios), you can read x Anhängerschaft. That's incorrect. It has to be x Anhängerschaften or x Follower.
  • In the start page of Discuss Scratch, the footer (?) isn't in German at all. For example, Change your signature means Signatur ändern or Ändere deine Signatur.
  • If you click on Datei (File) in the editor, you can read the option Auf der Webseite veröffentlichen (Share to website). I think it has to be about Auf die Website hochladen.

If you already have noticed more mistakes or gaps in the German website (or in my post ), feel free to post here.

Best regards
NpChecker

Wenn was auf Englisch ist heißt das, daß das noch keiner übersetzt hat.

Hier eine Liste zu erstellen bringt nicht viel - am besten holst Du Dir ein Konto bei Transifex, dann kannst Du die Übersetzungen dort gleich reparieren.

Anleitung: https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/5155/

Stuth sa Ghàidhlig
repeat until <not <(language) = [English]>>
set (language) to [Gàidhlig]
end

I wanted to create my own account on Transifex, but they asked me for my full name and more private information… Is it just for Transifex or for the public?

You only need to fill in a nickname, an e-mail address and a password. You can leave everything else blank.

To echo what @GunChleoc said, most of the form is optional. The Scratch Team does not share personal data from Transifex. Po files include a list of the translator ids in the header to give credit to the people translating. So your login id, will end up in the public .po file in scratch for any language that you translate. I don't believe that Transifex makes the other data public, but you should check their privacy policy: http://www.transifex.com/legal/privacy/
