Pretty much what I'm using at the moment - a 15" MBP with a 2.6 GHz quad core i7, 16GB RAM, Nvidia GeForce GT 750M (2 GB), 512 GB SSD. It has a ridiculously long battery life but is also great for editing video on.
I think the only step up from it would be a desktop mac of some description.

A mac pro with a couple of 4K displays is my idea of a dream PC

Also, I'm unsure what OP is saying regarding ddr3-6000 RAM. Are you referring to the memory clock speed, or something else?

AMD has a workstation GPU that I'd really like to have 48 of (yeah, 48 of those) to jam into a supersized PC. That and 32 16-core Xeon processors and a couple of terabytes of RAM.
That would be my dream build. xD

Something like that would be useful, I guess. Portability and power consumption would then become issues though. I like being able to move easily.Pretty much what I'm using at the moment - a 15" MBP with a 2.6 GHz quad core i7, 16GB RAM, Nvidia GeForce GT 750M (2 GB), 512 GB SSD. If portability weren't needed, I'd have the Titan supercomputer xD

That would usually refer the maximum supported memory bus speed, yes. As far as I'm aware, 6GHz RAM doesn't exist. I plan to make a computer out of an Arduino and/or a Rasberry Pi, along with a lot of other random things. I am hoping to make it look steam-punky, so I am also learning the steam-punk look.

More or less what I use at home, but with a bit more RAM and a better graphics card.
