In this project, I have a simple highscore cloud variable implemented, but the cloud activity for the project is empty? I think that the highscore is even working, but it's not recording any activity for the project. I had this problem on my last project, and I solved it by deleting the variable, removing it's instances in my project, and then adding it back in. For some reason, this fixed it. However, it's not working for this project. The cloud variables have been acting very buggy for me, anybody else having these issues? Another user told me he was having the same problem…
Replace the variable

I have encountered an error where cloud data is not saving to the Scratch servers. The project displays the change until reloading the page. Also, upon entering the project in a separate account, the data isn't updated.

I created a cloud game. There is 2 problem:
1. If I click too fast sometimes the variable don't updated. (Increase by 1, then decrease by 1)
2. this: https://scratch.mit.edu/cloudmonitor/140812973/
Happened with me as well. I don't exactly know what's going on, but it's causing some…problems. For me, (I'm making a livestream project but the variable sync seems to be too slow to create a reliable one. (Get Livecoins, download recent cloudlist, upload new cloudlist)

I think making livestream projects will significantly slow things down, and / or may be because you have a very large script?
So try to shorten scripts but make them do the same thing.

I hope i helped, take a look at my projects and see what you think

Good Luck!!

I found the problem, and it has to do with the fact that some cloud variables can't be deleted, which makes them glitchy. In this case, the cloud variables wouldn't update. I tried to rename one of the cloud variables and it made a renamed copy but kept the original, and both wouldn't update.

If you're having trouble deleting cloudvars then I'd recommend you read this to understand what's happening with your project and the cloud server, and what you need to do to fix it:

More generally, if you (any of you) are working with cloudvars – especially if you're trying to do some kind of multiplayer game that's (nearly) real-time – then I'd seriously recommend you carefully read through this:

Hello, when I delete a cloud variable, it goes away, but after a few seconds, it reappears. I posted this on a different topic, there are more explanations there. Thank you!
This occurs if your code tries to access the variable after it's deleted (note that while it's name still has the cloud symbol, it won't actually be cloud anymore!)

I have a similar(ish) problem. My cloud vars weren't uploading, so I deleted them. However, when I tried to recreate them, I could not see the “Cloud variable (stored on server)” checkbox, in the create variable dialog box. I logged into my alt, and attempted to create a cloud variable in a new project. I didn't attempt to import the old project in any way. The box still didn't show up. If a member of the Scratch Team (or the in-the-know public) could help investigate, I would be grateful.

Urgent news!
Evil Kumquats no longer seem to feast on signatures anymore.
They now feast on Discuss buttons.
We need to save them!

As you may seen in today's announcement, we deployed a new version of the Cloud Data server. Most of this is code reorganization, and some performance improvements, so there may be a few glitches in this new version. Please report in this thread if you face any glitches. Remember to incluffdfde information about your operating system, browser, and a link to your project.

Also, I know that some people have reported slowdown of Cloud variable updates recently. Please report those here as well, especially if you used to get faster speeds, but now Cloud variable updates lag significantly.

[Updated 08/30/2013: Based on your reports, I fixed a bunch of problems. Thanks, and keep more of these reports coming in (still working on the glitches that have been already reported, and are still not fixed). For a list of what changed, check out this forum post: http://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/14722/ ]

I recently noticed this one. I think right now Scratch is having trouble displaying this.

Also when coding it doesn't let me access cloud data, only on old projects

My game uses cloud data, which acts like an world wide high score. So when I was testing out my game, I managed to get higher than my previous high score, 46 seconds. So when I exited and later came back, the high score wasn't saved. When I checked the cloud data history, it didn't record my time. I checked the code and I didn't find anything wrong. I also knew that it was a glitch in cloud data because the high score is stored in a display of numbers, and the numbers are set to what ever digit they are in the high score.

I got confused by that too. I think you can only create cloud data if you shared your project, because when I shared mine when I was still working on it, it allowed me to create a cloud variable.

Hello, the old FAQ link (https://scratch.mit.edu/help/faq/#clouddata) given when you create a cloud variable for the first time on you're project doesn't work anymore…
Moreover, I know cloud variables are not supposed to work in the offline editor, but when you download then reupload a project containing cloud variables, it seems to mess things up (it seems that it “keeps” the cloud variables from the project you have just over-ritten on and it doesn't upadate the new ones)

The cloud variables were OK, but then they changed unexpectedly. My best bet is that the variables changed to previous values somehow. Since the cloud variables were integral to the project, I shut it down so that nothing could go wrong.
