"Music Sharing" Projects
Hey everyone,
Scratch is a place for learning, creating, and sharing creative works made by Scratchers. Recently, we have noticed a lot of projects on Scratch being used to share music created by someone else. Projects like this do not express the creativity of the Scratcher and are not fair to the original musical artist. Scratchers are welcome to use music created by others in their projects, but they should be sure to use the music to support their own creativity - not as the main focus of the project.
Yes, I totally agree with that. Unless the Scratcher creates the music or has more to the project than the music, they are not allowed to do that. Are noteblock versions of songs allowed? Just asking.
Actually, I am pretty sure they are, but if they are not, please tell me.

You can So… I'm guessing that games, animations, music videos, AMVs, PMVs, MAPs, and that kind of stuff that feature music are okay.
But, what if you're showcasing a piece of art or something, or a collection of your art? Can you put music in that, or is that a no-no?!

risk thoughts. No one needs you to boss them around about what is doable on Scratch! It's a fun, creative community, and let us have OUR fun. You might not ever show your face, but that doesn't mean you have to ruin it for others! It's unfair to Scratchers who want to make their own games, and show their faces. so go back to making games, and not criticize others ways of how they do stuff. They can do that. This is only for projects that have a song and little to nothing else. Helloooo. And I totally get you.. but look. What if the Scratcher can't record because they don't have a speaker? And then the game has the exact song they need. But when they make the game, most likely a map, you guys comment on their game, and are all like “you can't do this! The Scratcher that made this is proud of their work!” Then you leave the Scratcher sad and disappointed. You have just discouraged part of the community to feel free to remix and make their own versions of the game. Then what if the Scratcher who made the original game is TOTALLY FINE with it? That's uncool. And about your other discussion of face reveals? One word describes it: NO. Let Scratchers reveal their faces at their own
Thank you, and goodbye

And if it's their own music it's okay, but it it is someone else's music then it is not okay. Please only report music-sharing projects that are just a stage with music, because that's not creativity at all. Any projects from people like RCMusic, which have visualizers and stuff, would be considered creative in my book and shouldn't be reported. I would also like it if you just left these projects alone. I'm reporting some

I think it might be best to close this discussion. Everyone's questions should be answered by now, and it doesn't look like there's much more to ask.

- didn't change anything at all from the original project.

Audio vizualizers are creative and have the vizualizer as the focus, so we're allowed to make them Wait hang on does this also mean we cannot make audio visualisers anymore?
