Welp there's actually a wiki page on this that says pretty much everything the above users have posted. If this is too vague and you think it needs more details as to why username changes are impossible, I'll talk to the other wiki members about it.

No support. This has been asked about, suggested, and declined multiple times due to the software architecture not designed to handle that, it would be confusing for everyone to be able to change their username, and it is prone to server crashing.

This is rejected. The server is not designed for username changes. Wait until Scratch 3.0 maybe?

This thread is two years old, so there's really no reason to bump it just to explain what everyone else already has said.
