Hi, okay, so this sort of sounds ridiculous (because I'm in a bad mood currently) so I apologize in advance if I sound weird here.
I got an alert for saying * playfully, but yet I don't understand how when people say d*mn they don't get alerts & their comment deleted..? Sorta ticked me off/confused me..

You only get an alert if your comment was reviewed by the Scratch Team; they get notified about those if someone reports you. As the word you said is actually censored on the forums, that means it's not a safe word for a kids site and an alert is definitely possible. However, if you see someone else doing it, then you should report them to alert the Scratch Team about their comment.

The word you said got censored in the forums, which means it's NFSW.

The flow chart is not
do something > get an alert
the flow chart is
do something > someone reports it > get an alert

the flow chart is

Do something > Someone reports it > ST checks the reported item > (If valid report, and serious enough to get an alert) Get an alert.

Yeah, the filterbot is a little messed up. Also, it's been censored in the forums, so..

I'd like to tell you about something called “context”. The word is harmless on its own, but put it in the right sentence and it breaks the Community Guidelines. Unless you literally mean “reported” and not “got an alert”, which doesn't mean anything except an ST member wastes their time to look at it, and then do nothing. i got reported for saying “freaking” WHY?????
Oh, and you're more likely to get a better answer if you make your own topic instead of Googling the answer and using an old forum. You can do that by clicking “Questions about Scratch” on the top and bottom of the page and pressing “New Topic” in the top left.
