The Aurora is a spacecraft sent to the planet 4546B for a terraforming mission before the arrival of colony ships.

However, during its descent, it was struck by a mysterious energy pulse resulting in catastrophic hull failure, leading to its crash landing on the surface of the planet. Several escape pods were launched before impact, one contained the player. Only the escape pod containing the player survived impact; the others were destroyed. The ship's wreckage is surrounded by radiation.

The crash resulted in large quantities of metal salvage, fragments, and a few supply crates being dispersed within the vicinity of the ship. There is an area near the tail end of the Aurora known as the Scrapyards, a long, flat strip of sand littered with metal salvage and also salt deposits. It can be very useful for players needing materials for food or titanium.

During the Intro Sequence, the player is escaping the Aurora in the Escape Pod. A story script found on trello, suggests that a large biomass took down the Aurora with a projectile, destroying all the shields of the ship. This is a part from the script:

AUDIO: Use voice and sound effects over black screen to communicate the crashing of the ship. I think this is worth doing quickly and efficiently. Few audible dialog lines (and these only from PDA), otherwise just screaming, panic, alarms, explosions. This being said, I think we can tell a detailed story this way with a bit of care. I would almost split it into heart beats, with barely a few seconds of audio between each. The player character is running on adrenaline, and we are only hearing the major beats:

BACKGROUND SFX: Normal operational background, hum of computer terminals, background chatter etc

PDA: “Beginning planetary descent.”
SFX: Explosion

*Heartbeat*

BACKGROUND SFX: Screaming, alarms, distant explosions, people running, player character panting as they run for a lifepod
PDA: “Abandon ship. Abandon ship.”

*Heartbeat*

BACKGROUND SFX: Heavy footsteps and panting as PC sprints down a corridor; screaming and alarms in the distance
PDA: “Lifepod available. Lifepod available.” (Fade this line in over the first two sentences as PC approaches and boards the lifepod)




WHAT YOUR STORY LINE WILL BE ON THE PLANET:There are abandoned bases in subnautica the notes that are left there are not written by them but a secret society on the planet. (might be the illuminati)
There destroying the bases and are writing fake journals so nobody suspects they exist.They shot the Aurora they capture the sea emperor fearing it will be to dangerous.And then you find out about them and you put bombs in your base and then going out the secret society come in and looks for you.But your not there then the bombs go of killing that squad you go to the base destroy them and save the sea emperor from death.

Apparently there was a previous crash on the same planet as the Auroa and the survivors from that crash built the abandoned seabases!!! 9If spellings are incorrect i am sorry.

The story can be revealed by reading all PDAs, exploring the aurora, exploring the precursor base, and heading towards the lava biome. I'll explain a little bit of the story. Not the whole thing cause it's way too long. Btw, @forestclan5 is wrong. That is no where near the full story. Here's a bit that I've figured out so far:

The precursors are an alien civilization that live on the planet YOU crash on. They shot down your gun with something known as the precursor gun, which can actually be found in the game (there's a couple videos of people actually firing it!). After reaching the lava biome (Not 100% sure if that's what it actually is called) you can hear noises. Of course, most people assumed that it was just coming from all the sea life. This is wrong. While most of it is coming from the sea life you can actually hear a strange noise, like an animal in pain. This is the Sea Emperor (actually it's a girl, it has babies) screaming. It has been held captive by the precursors.

This is as far as I've gotten so far. This is my theory on what's next:

The precursors are creating hybrid animals*. The Sea Emperor (once agai, it's a girl so technically Sea Empress) is actually a hybrid of a Sea Dragon, and that of another hybrid. This seems extremely strange, although it's honestly the best guess in my opinion. The Sea Emperor (cough Empress cough) will end up being hostile at first, and there will be an item to tame it (this item will probably be like something from the precursor base**). Once tamed, it will be passive and will no longer attack you.

Story mode isn't currently out, but when it does come out is when we can finally finish this huge puzzle.

It crash landed and the three team members are believed to be dead, but by our confirmed info, they made the base in the jelly shroom biome. Leader of the mission Paal (dangit I forgot his last name) son wrote a log when the his dad and they hired mercenary got captured by the precursors.

The precursors are the species that inprisoned the Sea Emperor and mutated and made the Sea Dragon and made the GUN that shot down the team of sunbeam, the Arora and the Degassi. That's as far as I'm going into depth with that species as it will take ages to type everything they did.

Mccrafter123, rumour has it that the Sea Emperors babies will carry the cure as the mother Sea Emperor was immune. The thing you said about taming might not happen as the Sea Emperor might actually be completely passive. But then again I could be wrong. The reason he currently attacks you is the programmers got lazy and copied the programming of the bone shark to the Sea Emperor. Once the model is finished the Sea Emperor will be the biggest creature in the game.

MEGA SPOILER ALERT: MAY RUIN WHAT YOU FIRST THOUGHT, PROCCEED WITH CAUTION

This may be very confusing at times, if so I am sorry



This is a matter of fact of what you believe but I have a very complex matter of events that I think is of what will and had happened(some of it is fact). A decade ago (in game time ) a project called Degrassi went disappearing over the planet 4546B. Ships before the aurora had passed and tried to locate the wreckage but failed to do so with their scanners. So the group Altera launched a flag ship (main ship)called the Aurora to locate the wreckage and survivors within the planet itself with its state of the art scanner. However as it was orbiting, they pilot attempted to get closer, and this had the same effect of sunbeam, getting about 500 - 1000 meters from the planets atmosphere the gun charged and aimed. However no one was manning it. The gun shot the aurora in the Quantum core later causing a massive detonation. When going through the precursor bases things can get confusing, the reason the things are there is because the aliens were testing a virus called Corar. They were testing it out on the sea creatures and somehow got a baby leviathan. The baby called for its mum who came for it and tried to get it back, ripping up the disease facility in the Active lava zone. They also built the Gun before dying to stop the Corar from getting out, it was designed to shoot anything in the planet which would indicate that several others were built around the entire planet, they stopped ships from getting close and spreading the corar. So as we think that it is bad, the Corar is so lethal that it had to be stopped in anyway. But they also built a system where you can disable the gun. The sea emperor. The leviathan/sea dragon creature is the only main creature (apart from warpers, which were designed to guard the info in the precursor bases) that does not inhabit the Corar, but has a cure to it. the precursors made this, and the dead creature in the tank was another experiment just before the facility was destroyed.

The precursors likely made a creature immune because then if the disease was cured and you could get out, then it would cure the planet, linking to the first post, if you could tame the emperor then mabey he would give the cure to others. Therefore ridding the corar, disabling the GUN and allowing the planet to be scanned as well.

But now to the story of Degrassi, when the degrassi crashed, everyone but 3 people were killed: Captain Paul, his son Bart and Meg something(ill call her meg for now). they start off on an island behind the aurora this is where they are studying there surroundings and where Bart learns to scan and analyse creatures. He also makes small farms, and he documents his findings. Then they head down in the sea to jellyfish places. however, you find a PDA of a dialema, go back to the base on land where it is stormy, or go further down. But there is one crucial piece of info that could be easily ignored: Go on to dry land and LAUNCH BACK OUT INTO THE ATMOSPHERE AND HOPE THEY DONT GET SHOT BACK DOWN AGAIN. Launch!!! When playing and getting the black-box data from aurora they talk about: rescue could take years, so we came up with a better option… we are giving you blueprints to launch yourself out of the atmosphere –end– Launch!!! if you are playing in creative or have used unlockall on commands then using the machine making thinging (makes the cyclops and seamoth and prawnsuit) then you will see 2 options: submersible or ROCKET. you cannot make the Launchpad yet, or at least I think so. But this means that you can get back out of the world. Back to the story. It the mushroom biome, you get data talking about Bart finding out the disease, but that the system cant pick it up. The PDAs found in the third base talk about studying the creatures, and ends with a leviathan coming and destroying the base. many thought that was it it, but think back to the first base. Bart says in his 3rd and final PDA: ‘I knew that they didn’t like us/want us/ need us. HE also says about him being alone after leaving them down there, this means one thing: Bart is still alive, the rest have died. He was studying the Corar, He studied and learned something. Remember in one of the tranmitions it was blocked. and remember how on one it said something was trying to get in and bring laser cutters, remember seeing that all the lifepods had holes almost matching each other perfectly? This means that Bart is hiding, but in one of his PDAs he talks about THEM. He knows everything, and they are trying to stop him from finding out more, this is the reason that warpers are there. This is the reason that there are holes in all life pods underwater. The reason they haven't attacked your life pod may be as simple as it can get: The aliens cannot get in contact with air. remember the PDAs talking about storms all the time? well the aliens have to keep at least moist or damp, this would explain why things started to get weird underwater. The aliens are trying to find Bart somewhere dead or alive and are building those green barriers to stop him from learning even more about them. But while they are looking for him, you are opening these doors and taking in the data, meaning that when you get cured, you find Bart and give him the info, remember they are stopping anything from finding out what happened, and will use everything they have to stop them.

This is just another gaming theory and it is a lot to take in, but its all I have.
