a Location block
So, I got this Idea of a block that can be used to detect the location of the Scratcher using the project. It could detect it according to what it says on the users profile. It's kinda like the username block. There could also be a warning on the project saying that it could detect where you are if the project contains the block,
Just a suggestion

Here is what I want it to look like:

I can't really think of a place where this is useful. Pun not intended.
Besides, so many people jokingly pick a place that they don't actually live in, so it wouldn't be very accurate either.

you are correct about that, but like I said, there is a warning saying the block could detect where you live, so jokingly picking a place you don't live in is the same as keeping your location private.
I can't think of a location pun.

I cannot locate anywhere where this is particularly useful. (Get the pun?)

I can only really see this being used for language detection, however there are tons of countries with many different languages in them. I'm not sure why there would need a block to detect their location. After all, you can easily fake your location on your profile. Also, what would it output for people with their location set to “Location not given”? What would it output for “NO” or other abbreviations?
If you want to make a globe project that tells you where you live, then what about large countries like Russia or Canada? You wouldn't exactly be able to pinpoint an exact location, and if you just chose the middle, then it would probably be way off.
It just has very limited uses that I don't see myself using at any point. Sorry, but no support for this one.

Haven't thought about that, I guess the location block is a pretty dumb idea in my opinion, but its up to the ST if they want the block.

You should put you Support/No Support list in the original post, and remove the [scratchblocks] from it.
Use this;
rather than;
Also, both I and Customhacker no support.

(Location::sensing)

I do not see a location where this would fit. (XD i suck at that.)
Most people pick a fake place that they dont even live in anyway.

There is basically no support, but i'll only close it if the ST either rejects the idea, or if my messages skyrocket because of this

You can only close a topic after 24 hours, but don't close a topic due to too much no support. Unless you yourself disagree, there is no need.
The ST doesn't count the amount of people supporting/no supporting, they count the arguments made for both sides.

NO, as in NO this block will never be made .

In my opinion

I don't know if this is needed.
Also, not really about this suggestion but something I just noticed, is that locations on people's profiles are always in English even if you set your language to something else. I think I might report that somewhere else.

The only location the ST will want this block is in the block interview room, to say maybe.
pun intendedNo support, I don't see this has a use except for a big globe project, but that isn't needed, since for globe projects you can use a workaround with timezones, but since there is same timezones in some countries you will need to use a GUI for this sort of thing. Anyways, as I said no support.

It looks like this is a duplicate topic of this one over here so I'll close this to keep the conversation all in one place.
