Bloons TD 5/6 Discussion Thread

My family gave me some Steam Wallet money for me birthday. I got BTD5 steam

It run SOO SMOOTH, freeplay is actually fun now

Also it runs under Wine so I can play it on my GNU/Linux PC

It's not as high-definition as it is on the family mac though (my PC's pretty low-end), and also there's no sound (that's probably Wine's fault). The strange thing is events (totem, golden bloon, boss bloons etc.) and Odysseys don't work on the Mac, but they do work on my PC…

Does anyone have any idea what strategies to use (in battles) in higher arenas? The highest arena i can reliably play is Rainbow Ruins, and any time I attempt a Ceramic Crucible game, (a) the players are too good for me to have a chance or (b) I get killed by a round 15 zebra/rainbow rush because of my terrible micro why did NK nerf the fan club D:
My go to strategy is dart-farm-boomerang (yes i use a dart-farm strategy

and no, i'm not one of those noobs who use wizards for everything

On some maps a Bloontonium Reactor is really good against r13 rushes, or you can use Juggernauts, Glaive Riccochets (don't pop camos), Glaive Lords or Bloon Impacts (don't pop camos) or the Big One (doesn't pop camos) or something, with supporting towers. And I've heard it's best to stop farming/sending eco about round 8 to save up for r13.
I'm not a good player but maybe that helps?

basically i can't sell and replace fan clubs/2-4 boomerangs and activate the abilities (why aren't ability hotkeys a thing)

so i can't practice my micro easily

Maybe one where you get $2 from pops and $80(0)/$120(0) from farms and double cash from all abilities that give it (heli pilot, sniper) and bloons come on round (<round they come on>/2 (Blues come on round 2, leads come on round 13, ceramics come on round 20, regrow rainbows on round 21, MOABs come on round 23, BFBs on round 30, ZOMGs halfway through round 42 (Round 42 is even harder

Does anyone else think that they shouldn't have removed the free Ceramic Crucible/MOAB Pit cards? I get that the competitive players complained about it Thanks Blaze It but i think instead of replacing them with Rainbow Ruins cards, they should of had it be the highest arena you could play (based on your medallions, w/l rate, amount of games, and battlescore).

I've finally got over 15000 medallions thanks to bananza with cobras allowed (and me getting clubs (

))
basically i used ninja, farm, and cobra, and rekt 99% of players with round 12-15 fast cooldown ZOMG rushes (using offensive push cobras which let you send bloons 1 round earlier than normal) I only got 3 losses, and one was because of battles crashing, another was because the opponent had been spamming temples and technological terrors, and sent round 38 fast cooldown zomgs that I couldn't defend, the other was because of round 14 bloon adjustment

Also, is it a bug that in BMC mobile (I play the Windows Store version on my PC) you can recieve an attack in pacifist mode!? It was even enough of a jerk to ask if I wanted to enter pacifist mode even though I had never left it to begin with
