I have an idea that will make people a little happier when they sign in. The nanosecond they sign in, they get a message that says:

Welcome back, <username>!

So, for me, it would say:

Welcome back, FloppyBop!

And for, lets say, griffpatch, it would say:

Welcome back, griffpatch!

Just a little idea of mine.

Well you would just get a friendly little message.

So your saying not a message that would show up in the scratch mail, but just a little bar that shows at the top of the page for a second, kind of like in games connected to the game center on Apple devices?

I would support for the above, but not for getting a message. That would just clutter up your messages page.

So, every time you sign in, you will only have one new one, at the top, greeting you, in the messages.

You could just stay logged in. Only one computer in your house and your family members do Scratch to? Do some extra chores to get your own computer!

Support if you only get this message once per day. Otherwise it would spam up your inbox. Or, instead of a message in your inbox, it could be a popup that says Welcome back, _________.

Yeah! Once a day! I like that idea! Then, it wouldn't spam the messages, and still make you happy! I love it!

I don't really need a “friendly greeting” every day I access the website. ._.
I simply want to log onto Scratch because it's what I want to do. If anything, the community is friendly enough so that people feel welcome whenever they log on. They don't need a welcoming message.

;-; i dont really want a message coming to me every time i sign in thinking that its my friend replying to the rp we were doing its a studio messages. most of the time i dont even bother to check studio messages. and i sign in and out continusly because i have shifty family members because its not always safe.

Support if you can turn it on and off in Account Settings.

I would suggest maybe having the message at the top of the scratch homepage, rather than in the messages.
